We visited South Edison after my dear friend told me it was her favorite place in Montauk. Food was delicious and they use fresh ingredients, which is very important to me. The ambiance was perfect for our small group; not quiet but definitely not too loud. The cocktails were dangerous because it was hard not to order more of their... More

Short interesting menu. Soft-shell crabs, fluke worked well. Interesting desserts - 5th anniversary sundae worked well for me! Interesting wines with a strong Spanish influence. Went there for two of our five nights in Montauk. Had to sit outside both nights as inside was full, but it's a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by.

We stopped in here after a day at the beach and decided to stay and eat an early dinner instead of trying to make a reservation for later. We were in bathing suits and coverups and ate outside. We split a few starters and a main pasta dish, all were very tasty. The harvest salad, octopus tacos, shishito peppers, and... More

Like the surroundings and decoration. Great raw bar selections, good drinks and a limited kids menu. Fresh ingredients. A good choice in Montauk.

The restaurant is beautiful and well located. The service is friendly but very professional. Four of us split two appetizers, Edison Baked Clams and Fried Olives. The Clams were freshly prepared and delicious. The fried olives came with goat cheese and everyone loved them. Two people split the Edison clam Bake and raved about it. One had the Heirloom tomato... Lovely atmosphere, great drinks and great raw bar. I enjoy it so much! Also--they sometimes have an apple ice cream or sorbet that is just wickedly good. Be sure to ask about it !

We took the trip from Southampton Village to Montauk late in the day, just to try South Edison; now 5 years in the running. We went with 2 other foodies, just to sample their fare. Drinks were painfully slow in coming, but the rest of the service that evening was nothing short of spectacular; their kitchen is amazingly well coordinated... More

Had a wonderful meal here the other night! Nice selections, good service and the food is very good! Place gets quite busy but everything came out quickly and the staff was attentive. Really enjoyed the shishito peppers and the grilled scallops over quinoa, we will be back!

Have visited this spot each year and have witnessed the up's and down's over time. This year we managed a very enjoyable meal complete with yummy drinks and good food. The lobster and couscous was very good and the local fish with blistered tomatoes was fabulous. The music was not as loud as in the past allowing for some conversation... More
