Very limited menu. I had the romaine salad and it was just plain romaine with vinegrette dressing....no frills. I did love the gazpacho though and would order again. Another day I had the $42 ribeye and for the money it was very average. Ribeye, fingerling potatoes and that was it. We shared... read more

The hotel has been beautifully upgraded but the kitchen has taken a turn for the worse. I had an order of sandy clams and a tuna tartare that was served marinated in soy sauce (like, what???), perhaps to disguise the off-tasting fish. The butter also tasted off. I sent back the tuna but was charged anyway. Ended up paying almost... More

Really felt the service let this place down. It took 3 tries before we were given what we ordered. The location was wonderful and the food good.

My wife and I along with two friends dinned here in the summer of 2014. Overall the place looked old. We were staying at a private home nearby and walked over. We were seated in a large dinning hall along with large groups with loud children. Food and service was just average but the price for what we were served... More

This is an excellent place to meet and dine with absolutely nothing to dislike . If offers a romantic setting or an alternative by just giving you a place to have a good laugh with friends over our favorite beverages

If you sit on the deck you have an excellent view of the Ocean. Inside is a large open room without any décor to liven it. Some windows on the side of the room will also give you a view of the ocean, but not many. Generally we found the ambiance to be cold and sterile. Our waitress was totally... More

Went here for dinner as I stayed here. The night started out nicely and the drinks were good. Then it went all down hill. Waiter brought over chowder and it was room temp. I sent it back to get heated up. They brought it back warmer. The lobster was quite pricey and was nothing special. When I got back to... More

Oceanfront dining in new updated restaurant. Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my husband & 2 adult children on a very busy Friday night. The service was polite & attentive. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed at Gurney's Inn for a long weekend and encountered blatant racism at the restaurant there. Surprising for us, as we live in Brooklyn and were not used to this sort of blatant treatment. The restaurant was empty and we were seated at a table completely isolated from the We had to ask several times for... More
