Our friends arrived shortly before our reservation so when we arrived we met them in the bar. After we each had two cocktails our table was ready. We split two appetizers - Octopus and stuffed mushrooms. The octopus was delicious. The mushrooms were fine. I ordered the veal special because it was veal medallions and it had spinach which I... Have eaten here several times with friends and family and have always enjoyed my experience. Consistently good food with nice size portions.

First of all we had a reservation for 6:30 for 11 adults and3 children, we walked out at 9:30, service was very slow, we were crammed into a table and the waiter was snippy and acted like we were putting him out. Food was not great, and expensive, he refilled our sodas never mentioning that it was not free refills... More

Been here a couple times as it is right down the road from my house. Its hidden up a side road and in an old house. This is as close as you can get to real home made Italian. Been here with my wife and brought her mom with us once. My wife is very Italian so her as well... More

A nice ride out into the country. The Italian fare is very tasty and well prepared. The restaurant is in a old over-sized house and is very well kept. The menu is extensive with a number of good specials. Go slowly in the parking ot as it is unpaved and has some deep ruts.

First off, we were unable to try this well rated restaurant. We wanted to come here to celebrate our granddaughter's sweet 16th birthday. We called to make reservations and asked if we could bring a small special Birthday cake for her. We were told "we don't allow any outside cakes, it's our policy". Well we took our granddaughter, her cake,... More

The weather was perfect so we sat outside at a table for 2. The service was excellent as we never had to wait too long - the staff was attentive without feeling like we were being rushed. The bread and the dipping oil was very good... Warning - save some room for dinner! The portions were large, we each took... More

We have eaten at La Vera Cucina many times and have never been disappointed. Tony is an exceptional host and the staff make you feel at home. Wonderful meals but I warn you to come hungry as the portions are large.

Food is fantastic with a nice variety to choose from. Simple wine list with reasonable prices. Service is slow, very slow which is too bad as the food is really good.

Having eaten at several top restaurants in Orange county, La Vera Cucina remains our favorite. However, the restaurant is small and on special occasions you need to make reservations well in advance. My personal favorite is the rack of lamb with a herb crust that melts in your mouth. Couple that with a good wine and you're in heaven !
