Sushi is great at the Plum House as is also the Teriyaki foods. Soft crab appetizer is excellent. Most everything else is very good as well.

The food was ok, nothing special, the service was fine. The atmospere is blah, felt like we were in some throw back style restaurant. A little pricey for what you get, would not recommend.

The food is well prepared and very good but not unusual for Japanese fare, a bit pricey. The place is not terrible spacious but there is a nice sushi bar. They are not open throughout the day so check the hours before you go. It's a great place for anyone who wants good Japanese food, sushi, for date night, or... More

The tempura was delicious as was the sushi and dessert, I can't wait to go back this summer! We were a party of 10 and were seated no problem without booking. The service was fine and cost reasonable for a Japanese restaurant.

This is our local sushi place, usually we take out, but we've eaten in a couple times too. They have a great sushi chef, making fantastic fresh sushi. Best I've had, not that I am an expert! They make a great beef negimaki as an appetizer too. If you eat in, it's a no frills restaurant, very casual and relaxed... More

The sushi is about as fresh as it gets in New York. The teriyaki salmon is also a favorite, for those of us that don't LOVE sushi!

I went several years ago and at that time it was unimaginative Japanese-American fare. I had travelled about 45 minutes to get there and meet friends. I must say it was not worth the trip. If I lived near by it would be fine for a quick mid week supper.

Been eating here at least once a week, often many more times a week, for 14 years... As some of the other write-ups say the service is not that good, unless u sit at the sushi bar or have the right waiter, and yes it needs a revamping decor-wise. However, the sushi and sashimi are outstanding. I eat sushi all... More

This is our favorite family restaurant. It's small and cozy with good service. The food is delicious and relatively inexpensive for a Japanese restaurant. The meal includes a complimentary tofu and bean sprout appetizer, salad, miso soup, and hot tea. Our favorite dishes are the vegetarian roll dinner (cucumber roll, avocado roll, and Japanese pickle roll) and tuna teriyaki. We... More

Not much to look at here, but great food. Excellent soups, noodles, and of course sushi. Service is quite fine. Always have a nice experience. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
