The food was excellent the service very professional, and the owner a warm and friendly person, However, Maxxel's on Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, has been closed for a while now

I've been here a couple of times, service has continuously been bad enough for me not to come back to the good price fixed menus.

We just came from dinner there and the food was terrible.. the duck was overcooked and the risotto was mushy.... My husband had the filet of sole and is was bland.... I would NEVER go there again... there's plenty of other great restaurants in New Hyde Park to go to instead

We have been patronizing Maxxel's for YEARS, and we have always had the best service along with creative and delicious entrees and wines. Carmelo has always gone out of his way to accommodate us whether it was just the two of us or a crowd of 20.

The food was underwhelming, for that amount of money, I expected to be wowed. Perhaps they should spend less time trying to be pretentious and work on perfecting their offerings. They should especially learn when and when not to use turmeric and cumin. Service was okay.

Service was terrible. Ignored for 30 min after being seated. Food was good but service and delays ruined the experience. I question their ability to handle a crowd
