The Ship's Lantern Inn celebrates it's 89th year and remains a family business that continues to make you feel special. The wait staff (some who have been there for decades) is attentive, professional, and very familiar with the menu and helpful with recommendations. The continental cuisine is prepared with care, wonderfully seasoned and plated. Their center cut pork chop is... More

My wife and I had a fabulous dinner our first night staying at Buttermilk Falls Inn. You can tell the difference between a seasoned staff and one of college students. Everyone was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything. They were always steps ahead on water and bread. The food was great, the presentation was great and... More

Have eaten here both for business functions & special occasion dinners. This is continental cuisine w/highly attentive (but not obtrusive) service. We made res. for Christmas Eve. Upon arrival, we saw it was nearly full & very busy, but were seated promptly. The only hiccup was that it took 10 minutes to be recognized by wait staff. In addition to... More

Wonderful dining experience. Many waiters have been there for 25 years and it shows in the professionalism. The food is always consistent in this fine establishment.

This restaurant has always been a favorite of ours but it has been quite a while since we have been there. We are back in the Hudson Valley for the holidays and decided to go for Thanksgiving Day. When dining out on a big holiday you always worry about the service & food quality. We were not disappointed even though... More

We have passed this restaurant many times, but never tried it until a few weeks ago. We will definitely be back. Very attentive service. Food was quite good. Overall a lovely experience.

We dined there late in October. It was a thank you dinner for someone that had really helped us out, so it was important that things went well. It was an hour's drive for us, and it turns out that our guest knew many of the people that worked there as it was local for him. The service, decor, and... More

We were traveling the Shawangunk Wine Trail on Columbus Day weekend with friends and were looking for a place to eat. Honestly, we picked this restaurant because we liked the name! But we soon discovered it was an absolute treasure. It was a lovely day, so we ate on the patio. The staff were wonderfully attentive & polite. Everything was... More

We just celebrated our folks' 65th wedding anniversary at this superb restaurant. The food and service for the 30 of us were impeccable. From the escargot to the sea bass to the veal ossobuco, you just couldn't find more delicious food more beautifully presented. The wait staff was professional, welcoming and inconspicuously attentive. The setting is seafaring and rustic, but... More

This restaurant is a place you can imagine dining with your parents. They still toss the Caesar salad and make flaming desserts at the table just like the grand old restaurants of days gone by! The service is impeccable with food to match! Our experience there will remain a fond dining memory for years to come!
