good food but expensive

We went during Hudson Valley restaurant week so the meal was prix fixe at $29.99 for 3 courses. All of our food was very good although we generally find that the regular menu is pricey and the portions small. The service was ok but not what one would expect from a rerstaurant that portrays itself... read more

My husband and I have eaten here many times over the past 13 years. In the beginning it was "the place to go in Middletown" and it was clean, had good ambiance, good food and good service. Sadly, this is not the case anymore. We've eaten there twice in the past 2 months and man, it's just not good. The... More

I felt the food was just so-so and was expensive for the portions they served. Wouldn't recommend this one only because I like to get the most 'bang for my buck' and this restaurant did not do that for me.

Let me qualify this review by saying that I have eaten at Nina WELL OVER 100 times, starting since they opened, sometimes eating there once or twice per week. I have had numerous items on the menu, with my favorites being the filet mignon and the cajun chicken penne. Their food and drink have been consistently excellent over a span... More

I went there with my husband, my best friend, and her boyfriend. We went on New Year's when they had a special menu. The food was inventive, delicious, and the presentation was fantastic! A great twist on familiar dishes without being pretentious or over bearing! Pricing was reasonable for what was offered, and the staff was friendly. Since it was... More

Great atmosphere, awesome food! The servers know their stuff! Sorry we did not try it sooner, considering we have lived in Orange County for over 12 yeats.

Great service. The food was truly delicious. The portions are fairly small but it was just enough for me.

We have had 2 experiences at this restaurant. 1) we had excellent service, a well prepared meal, although I felt it was pricey, we had an enjoyable experience. 2) we had a reservation, got seated immediately and ignored for approxiimately for the next half hour - so we left. You figure it out.

So 8 of us college buddies got together and Nina's was recommended. Everything else was fantastic. Great ambiance, appetizers fab, short ribs, steak tips, etc. Three of us had salmon with quinoia and it was boring. Everyone else loved their dinner. And we celebrated at birthday and the cake was amazing and beautifully decorated. Wait staff were fab. You won't... More
