I've come here several times and have always gotten the Gyro or Souvlaki... Being from NY, we have exposure to other Greek restaurants, in fact it's fairly commonplace as everyone wants to capture that Mediterranean experience without paying thousands of dollars to go to Greece or Turkey. But, many Greek places while have good gyros and other Greek offerings kind... More

My wife and I went in for dinner on a whim. What a great experience! Our waitress was tremendous, recommending to me the grilled calamari, shrimp and salmon with rice and mixed vegetables. My wife had the spinach salad and Greek salad. Both meals were delicious and I was very happy to discover all ingredients were fresh. For my meal,... More

This restaurant always provides good fresh food, from real Greek to Greek-American (gyro). We had the chicken souvlaki and the regular gyro, all filled with meat and whatever else you ask to be included, without an extra charge. The spanikopita was also delicious with flaky layers. All of these portions are very large and consequently, very filling. The dolmades are... More

Great Greek food - Gyros are delicious and all the meals are freshly made. The portions are so huge that my husband and I often share a meal. Relaxing atmosphere, good service, friendly staff.

I had occasion to be in Middletown 2-3 times over the past couple of years and ate at this restaurant several times. The food was reasonably priced, portions were on the large size, authentically prepared and quite good. We had no problems with service, we were seated promptly, served in a timely manner and were treated curtiousely. All in all... More

The Greek Cafe has fresh and delicious basic Greek fare, we specially loved the pork souvlaki. Tender, juicy chunks of meat accompanied with rice and salad. Baklava was one of the best we ever tasted (including those in Queens restaurants), perfect phyllo, not too sweet and soo fresh. The owner was very attentive and treated us to a piece Galaktoboureko... More

We returned to the Greek Cafe this week. We ate at the restaurant twice this week. In the past we have had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and we had lunch and dinner this week. The restaurant has the usual Greek entrees: moussaka, pistachios, and soulvaka. There are also lamb specials. Normally, I would have lamb-my favorite meat-but I... More

We only go here for Gyro's. They make the best, flavorful and big. My favorite tzatziki sauce ever! The other menu items are very good also. The restaurant itself is roomy, clean and nicely decorated for a Grecian feel. The owners and wait staff very hands on and attentive.

My wife and I were in the area and recently stopped by this hidden gem. A family friend had referred this restaurant to us and being that we are 1st generation Greek we were more than excited. I ordered the 'good ole' Gyro- the true test for a Greek restaurant and the sandwich was fantastic- juicy yet crispy gyro meat... More

My husband and I ate there a few months ago and while he was eating his Gyro sandwich he bit into something very hard and spit out a piece of metal! It was indeed a broken 'tine' from the meat skewer that holds the meat! The waitress showed the owner(a lovely woman from Russia?) and she was very apologetic and... More
