Server was very good but it was really too many people, 18 or 19, for one person to properly serve individual full course meals to without any assistance. Steak was perfect, as was soup and dessert. Did not care for salad bowl passed around family style. Ambiance of the space could be improved; main dining room has more aesthetic appeal... More

We enjoyed a wonderful meal in a special room with a group from the Chautauqua Inn (same owner). The server was very helpful and we all enjoyed delicious meals with great portions. My wife and I enjoyed seafood, others had pasta and, steak and all loved their food. A wide range of tasty desserts finished off a delightful meal with... More

We had headed for a restaurant that turned out to be closed, so we pulled into Olive's with modest expectations. They were quickly surpassed. White tablecloth service was unexpected, as was the quality of the food. The grilled Romaine salad was generous and tasty, and the caprese salads were also good, although thicker tomato slices would have improved them. Both... More

We were unable to find a place on Tuesday (many restaurants closed Monday and Tuesday). We chose Olives. I had Lasagna that would feed two and was very meaty. Wife had chicken and was happy. Was understaffed, but our waitress was extremely pleasant and worked hard to ensure we had good service.

We booked a reservation for 30 people 3 weeks in advance so they had plenty of notice. Only one waiter was assigned to us. We waited 90 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When we complained to the female manager she told us we could go somewhere else. She was rude and could not have cared less and neither she... More

The family and I decided to try this place after a great afternoon of boating. We visit this area frequently and have tried numerous other places, but not this one. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. Menus came right away as did our server. But then the clock started ticking. It was 20 minutes until we placed our... More

It was convenient when staying at the Chautauqua Suites to go downstairs to Olive's one night for dinner. The waitress had many tables to take care of but stayed pleasant the whole time. Our meals came out after the right amount of time. The house salad was delicious, and we both really enjoyed the sea scallops over ratatouille. Prices were... More

We had a great meal. Fabulous service. Don't be scared away by the up town look of the dining. It is just a good place to eat.
