Mattituck's Love Lane is very small and this cheese shop is a must stop. Great selection of quality cheeses as well as complimentary items such as oil, crackers, jams, Biscotti, etc. Unfortunately we did not sit down and eat since we just came from great meal down the street at Love Lane Kitchen. We did grab some of their to-go... More

Every time we stopped by, the staff assisted us greatly with selections. The crunchy smoked gouda is to die for! They have a seating arae for fondue and eating in. We have alsways taken our goods to go. They offer free samples and free tastings to sample! Don't be shy - they are happy to help! We have been coming... More

We visit frequently to indulge ourselves with a purchase of fine cheese. The folks are friendly, knowledgeable and give great suggestions. The selection is great and we always try to buy a new cheese we have not had before along with the ones we really enjoy.

Great little cheese shop that is a must-stop on your way to the vineyards. Staff's recommendations based off of my preferences were spot on. The bread is super taste and fresh.

My wife and I stopped in and picked up some cheese, bread and cured meat on our way to the wineries. We sampled some great cheese and picked out a few to have as a picnic lunch at one of the wineries. They were happy to provide us with plates and utensils as well. Bread, cheese, meat and some local... More

Man! I thought I had a good basic knowledge of cheeses - but I was thrown for a loop when I strolled into the Village Cheese Shop! I was on a wine crawl with some friends and a winery reccommended us to stop here for cheese. They have countless vintage cheeses. Don't expect to order "pepper jack" or "monteray" cheese... More

I visited this shop while on vacation. They have a wealth of cheeses but I was intimidated by the number & variety of them, so I ended up only buying some crackers. I wish that the staff had been friendlier and offered help.
