Average...except for the memorial site near the restaurant which was very touching. Nothing special about this place. Even the view wasn't that appealing. After a day at the beach we were ready for some good food and decided to pass up the beach fare for something better. Perhaps a burger isn't the best choice at a seafood place, but I... More

Located on the Bay Side of TOBAY Beach, Massapequa, NY is a nice outdoor restaurant. The entire outdoor area is surrounded with a see-thru wind blocker. Half the seating area is open on top and the other haft had a permanent tent over it. Sit in the open area if you can. The covered area is very LOUD as the... More

The Seafood Shack is located on the premises of our town beach. Nice setting facing the water. Menu is varied but a little pricey. Those things aside I sat down with my family. Waitress courteous but when food arrived one of us found a sizeable insect in a Caesar salad. The waitress apologized profusely and a different entree was ordered... More

Recently went to the Salsa Shack at Tobay Beach. The location is lovely and the furnishings and Bar are like a Caribbean get away. They don't take reservations so you have to wait, last Saturday night, we had a 1-1/2 hour wait for a table so we got a seat and the bar and ordered a few drinks. Their white... More

We eat at The Seafood Shack at least once or twice a year! We enjoy the scenery more than the food! It is very nice to plan your dining experience at sunset! Just beautiful. Then we usually walk around the grounds as they have a 9-11 Memorial which is very touching!

The view was nice. Service was ok and the area was very clean. With that said the food was horrible! I ordered a quesadilla with grilled chicken. The "quesadilla" consisted of a soft taco filled with grilled chicken and cheese. It wasn't even crisp on the outside. The chicken was over cooked and tasteless! The rice had barely any flavor...
