Once again, we availed ourselves of the Restaurant Week chance to try a new place - well, new for us but not for our friends - at a reduced cost although, none of us sordered completely from the RW menu.. My dinner started with the onion tart. Just delightful. My wife ordered the smoked salmon (I think she's on a... More

This is one of our all-time favorites, excellent for lunch or dinner, with some specialties that can't be beat. Their wild mushroom soup is a winner, along with soft-shelled crabs, when in season, and their John Dory beautifully sauteed. They are known for their mussels, served with truly delectable shoestring fried potatoes.

There are not too many good restaurants outside of the City. Quality wise this is very nice and worth repeating. I love the Beef Bourguignon. The entrance is very cramped. I suggest asking for a table in the back. Servings sizes have gone down since we started going. I still recommend.

We all had deliciously prepared meals: appetizers including escargot and chestnut soup, entrees of John Dory, branzino, and steak au poivre. Attentive but unobtrusive service -- just as we like. Desserts looked great but we declined. The interior has modest charm though feels a bit tired, even to someone who hadn't been there in years. I hope I come back... More

The atmosphere is charming without being pretentious and the service attentive. I was pleasantly surprised by the food which is way above the regular bistro average. My foie gras entrée was a delight, my duck main was superb and the profiteroles I had for dessert were very good.

It has been a year since our last visit and we were delighted to find that everything was up to the same high standard as our last visit to this village gem of a French restaurant. But this time we took advantage of their all you can eat Monday night only 3 different courses of mussels special menu for about... More

We were a party of 4 at this restaurant a few nights ago. We were greeted warmly at the door by the owner. The place was lively and festive. The menu is very extensive, so we all chose different items and shared bites. I recommend the arugula salad, the grilled shrimp appetizer, the grilled salmon and the hanger steak with... More

Since the closing of Buffet de la Gare in Hastings, I have been in search of a French restaurant to replace it. Le Provencal is not that restaurant. When you first walk in, the host is very inviting. The decor attempted to be warm with low lighting against yellowish beige walls and many pieces of French art hanging on the... More

As a french I was interested to try. The food was good but not extra-ordinary (fish a little overcooked even if I asked specifically to under cook it and spinach real sloppy and “dead"). The service was not professional but nice (waited too long to have wines, refill of bread). The by the glass wine selection could be easily better... More
