Since the closing of Buffet de la Gare in Hastings, I have been in search of a French restaurant to replace it. Le Provencal is not that restaurant. When you first walk in, the host is very inviting. The decor attempted to be warm with low lighting against yellowish beige walls and many pieces of French art hanging on the... More

As a french I was interested to try. The food was good but not extra-ordinary (fish a little overcooked even if I asked specifically to under cook it and spinach real sloppy and “dead"). The service was not professional but nice (waited too long to have wines, refill of bread). The by the glass wine selection could be easily better... More

Have been there both for lunch and dinner. Love the salads, venison dish and fois gras. The owners, the Dikkers are gracious hosts.

I guess I must have missed something, or am just accustomed to different, but my experience at Le Provencal was not great. It has lovely bright decor, but I found the art on the walls at the time of our visit to be a bit loud and garish. It was a busy Friday night and the noise level was pretty... More

When my wife and i want to catch a break from cooking and want delicious, approachable, consistent food we head directly to Le Provencal. EXCELLENT French comfort food everytime served up by a professional staff all overseen by a charming couple from Holland. We eat here several times a year, as a couple, a family, and with friends (some of... More

Delicious French home cooking ala grandmere is what you get at this warm friendly charmer. Their sauces are intensely flavorful and that takes long and careful preparation. We liked their onion tarte as a starter.

Le Provencal has been a popular restaurant in Mamaroneck for over 15 years. This was my first visit in five years and I was very happy to find not only the same owner but that the same high quality of food and good service that I remembered. The decor is modern yet it has the wonderful feel of a bistro... More

First time there and it was restaurant week. Menu had choices no matter what your desire was. I had, for the first time in decades, liver with onions. It was just the way I remembered it, and that is a compliment. The sauce was heavier than I would have preferred but all in all it was a refreshing reminder of... More

The menu was great-- many more options than a lot of the other restaurant participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Everyone was very friendly and the place was cozy. This was our second time there and we will definitely return! The food was delicious!!

Excellent and authentic French food, especially the specials. Some items a bit overpriced, but lots of choice on the menu. Pleasant atmosphere.
