I was missing France.....

We had just returned from a trip to Normandy and Paris and wanted to try some things I had missed. Escargots were generically good, not like the ones in France that I had to dig out of the shells. Entrees were very good. Hostess/owner very gracious. Somewhat noisy and close but will return soon.

This is a marvelous small restaurant, which takes care to present authentic French cuisine. There are fresh flowers on each table, which I find generous of spirit. The menu is thoughtful, and there are usually some tempting specials to be had. It is not a bargain, but the food is good quality, well cooked and presented. Our only negative experience... More

quirky design on several levels. The onion soup is superb. Liver is good. But the mussel dishes are divine.

Family affair. Heavy Hors d'oeuvres (jumbo shrimp, ahi tuna, steak, and PIGS IN A BLANKET!!!) amazing soups (mushroom better than lobster), salad, appetizers and main course.

Once again, we availed ourselves of the Restaurant Week chance to try a new place - well, new for us but not for our friends - at a reduced cost although, none of us sordered completely from the RW menu.. My dinner started with the onion tart. Just delightful. My wife ordered the smoked salmon (I think she's on a... More

This is one of our all-time favorites, excellent for lunch or dinner, with some specialties that can't be beat. Their wild mushroom soup is a winner, along with soft-shelled crabs, when in season, and their John Dory beautifully sauteed. They are known for their mussels, served with truly delectable shoestring fried potatoes.

There are not too many good restaurants outside of the City. Quality wise this is very nice and worth repeating. I love the Beef Bourguignon. The entrance is very cramped. I suggest asking for a table in the back. Servings sizes have gone down since we started going. I still recommend.

We all had deliciously prepared meals: appetizers including escargot and chestnut soup, entrees of John Dory, branzino, and steak au poivre. Attentive but unobtrusive service -- just as we like. Desserts looked great but we declined. The interior has modest charm though feels a bit tired, even to someone who hadn't been there in years. I hope I come back... More

The atmosphere is charming without being pretentious and the service attentive. I was pleasantly surprised by the food which is way above the regular bistro average. My foie gras entrée was a delight, my duck main was superb and the profiteroles I had for dessert were very good.

It has been a year since our last visit and we were delighted to find that everything was up to the same high standard as our last visit to this village gem of a French restaurant. But this time we took advantage of their all you can eat Monday night only 3 different courses of mussels special menu for about... More
