A group of us (11) went there for dinner after being at Saratoga Race track for the day. No reservation made, yet they accommodated our party within 15 minutes of our arrival. The food selection was varied and everyone raved about their entrée. Very good value and very good food. Needs a few updates on the inside, but clean and... More

I had not been here in about a year and decided to go for lunch. I had the grilled cheese with French onion soup and as just as I remember it was very good. They have daily specials and Sunday brunch. Their regular menu also has a very nice variety.

We sat in front room. The air was blowing full blast so even the curtains were blowing in the air. The food was good but it was so cold you could not enjoy it. People in the other room said it was not as cold and was more comfortable. Either bring a coat or ask for a different room than... More

My wife and I were looking for a new place to eat when we found this place. The food was good not the very best but still good. I would recommend you give it a try. The only issue was our waitress never said her name and seemed preoccupied. However, there was also someone else ready to help her and... More

We had a late lunch (3pm) here last weekend (July 4th Weekend) while we were in Saratoga Springs. Our hotel was in Malta and Ripe Tomato was just a 3-5 minute drive from the hotel, if that. We hit it up after sitting on the lake side at Morrow Lake for a few hours, so our appetites were full. Great... More

We had a party of 18, they were able to accommodate us right away. Our server did an excellent job, she split our orders up on many checks without hesitating and had all of our food to us quickly. With such a large party, we were all very impressed with her, not one person had a problem with their order,... More

This restaurant is our favorite in our area. The staff is always welcoming and very friendly and the food is always outstanding and reasonably priced. We went last night and had my new favorite crabby haddock(over pasta) no rice it is amazing. Next time you need a place to eat try there. The specials are always great. Be sure to... More

Our first evening out to dine in the area was chosen by a local. Place was a tad busy on arrival but we were a tad late for dinner time. Everyone (9) was treated very nicely and our drinks were served promptly. Various meals were selected with this writer selecting an Italian fare that was "good" but not special. A... More

My spouse surprised me with concert tickets for a show at SPAC. We headed out a couple hours so we could have an early dinner. On our way to the venue we decided to stop here. The interior is comfortable, reminiscent of an older family member's house. Our waitress was professional and helpful. The fresh bread was tender and hot.... More

Eight of us popped into the Ripe Tomato for dinner after an all-day business session (without a reservation). We were seated immediately and our waitress (Melissa) did a great job getting us served. We had a drink from the bar and entrees. The food was brought out quickly, it was fresh and very good. The portions were more than ample... More
