Good meal

Overall the meal was good. A little pricey for the type of food ordered. Pasta and some specials. Little warm in room temp for a day in the high 80's. Overall will probably eat there again

This place has a very charming look to it...outside and inside. I wan not, however, impressed with other things about it. The service was not good. There were 3 different spashetti items on the menu. I asked what the difference was and the waitress didn't know. I ended up ordering the spaghetti with rosemary meatballs; too much rosemary flavoring took... More

This is an ordinary Italian restaurant. The seafood/pasta dish I ordered was nicely prepared but needed spices. The best part of the meal was the roasted garlic with the bread. If you're in Malta, this is a good bet.

If you find yourself in Malta, NY (or Saratoga Springs) know that you can get a fine meal at the Ripe Tomato. At the Ripe Tomato we shared a bowl of their house rose' seafood bisque, hubby had the Pollo tres modos and diet soda, I had the special of crab raviolis and a glass of wine, and we ended... More

We stopped in on the way home from Lake George (we took the extra long way). This is exactly what we were looking for, a local place. I was expecting more Italian and less German. The food was excellent and arrived very quickly. Even though the servings were large, we saved room for their truly fabulous homemade deserts.

We used TripAdvisor to locate this restaurant and were very happy that we did. After reading several reviews we visited the Rip Tomato and enjoyed a very nice dinner. The restaurant is definitely frequented by "locals". They have an extensive menu, with many "Italian" dishes. Service for a busy Saturday evening was very good. Food was served hot and plentiful,... OK. I can't add much more. OK food. OK service. OK prices. We had driven by the Ripe Tomato dozens of times and had noticed the parking lot was always full. We decided to stop on our way home from the track. I expected an Italian-American menu, but there were German, American, and pub style foods also. With nothing to... More

We visited the Ripe Tomato during our recent trip to Saratoga Springs. Everyone had raved about it so we needed to see for ourselves! We went on a Sunday evening so we were seated immediately, even with 5 adults and one child. The tables are great because they put paper over them so kids (and adults) can draw. The 3-yr-old... Admittedly, part of the charm of this restaurant is the warm, inviting decor. It reminds me of Sunday Dinner at Nana's "back in the day." However, don't be fooled by the charming decor...This is a place for a truly outstanding meal at reasonable prices. I am local, and have dined at a variety of restaurants in the area, from upscale...
