Description: Il Laghetto is set against beautiful Lake Mahopac, a hidden gem that Mahopacian's hold close to their hearts. The lake is for many the reason why they are here and why they stay. The location is a definite attraction that most flock to in warmer months. Il Laghetto's name is Italian for "little lake". Set on the water, il Laghetto's location makes it ideal for a Seafood focused menu. A Raw Bar with Oyster offerings, Clams, Lobster, Crab and more is open year round. The menu itself is highly focused on fish but don't deny the 16oz Steak Au Poivre. "Specials" are offered weekends and will focus on other meat options as well. Il Laghetto is open all year and we encourage people to see the lake for it's beauty through all seasons

Wenever I am in the mood for a great shrimp cocktail, I head out to Rick's Seafood restaurant. It sells the best cooked shrimp for a delicious shrimp cocktail. We also enjoy purchasing the tilapia from icks.

I had low expectations meeting a couple of friends in that completely out my way italian eatery. I usually diss average italian restaurants in NY for serving very low average mainly red sauce pasta..at Laghetto, we had a pleasant night with good and friendly service, excellent cooking and reasonable price. Each of our party of four were satisfied, from the... More

The food was good, the service was great. Scott & Rosa took care of us, and although this restaurant is a work in progress we would definitely return. In fact because of their excellent service we look forward to dining there again. Bottomless bloody mary's and mimosas were ++++, Sunday Brunch was not rushed and was exactly what it should... More

The food was very good but the restaurant is very noisy and unbearable. We could not carry on a conversation because of the noise. The service was poor. The wait staff served the person next to us in our party by reaching across our faces instead of walking around the table and serving us from the left. The staff never... More

Pick a beautiful warm sunny Sunday morning. Ask to be seated on the deck alongside beautiful Lake Mahopac and enjoy a mimosa with your brunch.

So unusual to be able to eat overlooking the water...that alone makes this place worth a visit. But the addition of an interesting menu and attentive service make it a " go-to " restaurant. I love the fall and winter indoors at one of the window tables. We had lunch and had no problem ordering the mushroom risotto from the... More

Enjoyed dinner with friends on a Saturday night. Beautiful setting which by itself would be worth the ride, but the food and service takes the experience to a whole other level. I had the wasabi crusted salmon which was wonderful. We finished dinner with cappuccinos and and cheesecake and the manager was nice enough to come over with an after... More

Food was very tasty but expensive. We sat outside right by the water, it was beautiful. Could get very warm if you are sitting in the sun.
