We recently stayed at the Best Western and they recommended getting delivery from the Belaire. We were very happy with our meals. Food arrived quickly and was still warm. This large diner is competing with many new "hot spots" in the Astoria and Long Island City area. We enjoyed brunch chosen from the special menu and our friend ordered from the general menu. We all were satisfied. Our food was imaginative and well prepared. Service was excellent and even the coffee was better than the usual diner brew. Note... More

The food is pretty good and the service is fast, but they are a little quirky in that they always mess up the order just slightly. This would usually annoy me, but I have eaten here three times and each time the mistake was a good mistake. Get the dinner special if you are going to share. It is worth... More

We go here on a fairly regular basis. We came 2 years in a row for Thanksgiving with a group of people. My husband is a vegan, so they have a couple of options for him including a veggie burger. For me i recommend, the salad platter dinner, Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing, pasta and turkey dinner.the chocolate cake... More

The porgie was the whole fish, so of course there were a lot of bones. But it was a little salty. The sides were large portions of steamed spinach and lemon potatoes. Delicious.

Discovered this place while walking from my Hotel (Super 8) to the Subway Station (at Broadway). Had a lunch and two dinners there... every single meal was perfect. The staff was great as well, the place had a nice retro look and the booths were clean and comfortable. They have a huge menu, and I regret having left, not being... More

the Belaire on 21 street, is always at it's best. When we travel to NY that is the first place I head to to eat a Souvlaki Platter. Can't go wrong Great fresh food at anytime of day and night! the Tzatziki sauce is to die for!

Started with the chicken noodle soup. It was good. Lots of noodles. The coleslaw was finely chopped. The sour pickles were just the way I remember them. The brisket was also good. There was also French fries. They were not the home made ones that I like. The chicken Caesar was good. Plenty of chicken. Chicken could have been less... More

I visited this restaurant based on the good reviews of trip advisor, we were a group of 10 very hungry people. Upon our entrance, we saw a fishtank, which was overcrowded with 3 layers of live lobsters, one toppled over the other. What was most horrible to see was that there was 1 lobster eating another one... and the latter... More

The food is scrumptious, the waitress service is impeccable and the atmosphere just as it should be for a diner. We had breakfast here and we were fit to burst, the portions were huge definitely got our moneys worth. So much so that we ended up not spending anything on lunch as we were full from breakfast. If only I... More
