I ordered eggs Benedict which came under cooked on a raw English muffin. The head waiter was rude. I will probably try the restaurant again and order something else.

Charming small store front restaurant outside the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. Very reasonable prices especially for the entrees. Duck $22, Beef Bourguignon $19 Skate $ 17 and chicken $16.50 Very good service from a young French staff.

Love this place and the friendly employees. Authentic French. Everything they make is delicious, but if there's something in the menu with pastry, go for it!

After spending 220 dollars and paying 14 percent tip, I was chased as I left restaurant because tip was not enough. It was embarrassing and I was disgusted...ruined entire evening. 25 dollar tip was reasonable... Food was ok...not great and service was ok. Nothing special ...so note to restaurant: tip is discretionary. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone and... More

A truly terrific French meal, for an extremely reasonable price. A friend who spends much of her time in Paris loves the place. As in Paris, the service can range from fun and friendly to haughty. Close quarters, which has been the source of some very interesting and enjoyable conversations with neighbors. Worth the trip from any borough, and just... More

Had a lovely dinner here with a friend. It's just one stop from Grand Central Station on the number 7 train, and the restaurant is right by the subway stop. Lovely cozy dining room, good service and great authentic French cuisine.

We ate here on a cold Saturday weekend and luckily we got here early because it got crowded in the later evening. Since everyone has different taste bud, I find the food inconsistent. I had mussels and fries. I had better mussels elsewhere (the sauce was good) and the fries were mushy but I must say I enjoy their French... More

Food quite good. Large portions. Wine prices reasonable. Nice service, quick, efficient. Then the surprise: you can only pay cash or with an AMEX card. Forget Visa or MC. OBNOXIOUS. Nothing tells you before hand that is the deal. Stupid and embarrassing when inviting people. So beware. Don't leave home without your Amex or bring cash or go somewhere else;... More

I haven't been to Tournesol in quite a while and decided to revisit the restaurant. It was just as good as I had remembered it to be. They are always super good and don't ever miss a beat. Kudos to you Tournesol.
