Cute little place, but

over priced. Went for brunch, - very crowded with cold draft from front door. Ordered French toast, arrived with whipped cream and maple syrup, lots of grapes and not enough berries! Coffee was luke warm and no offer to refill. BLT was good, - but needed something other than salad with it... read more

Wonderfully whimsical decor, extremely warm and friendly staff, excellent food! Went there for Sunday brunch with party of 8 in my family, and they were most accommodating, including making things comfortable for my wheelchair-using mother. No doubt that we will return on future trips to NYC.

We went for Sunday brunch. It was PACKED and the line up was about 30 minutes. It was worth the wait. Our server seemed like he didn't know what he was doing but the woman who was running the bar kept things moving and made sure everyone was taken care of. We shared the Minnesota pizza and Mac and Cheese... More

Went here with a friend for brunch. I had heard good things about this place from my sister who used to live and work in the area. It's not a huge place, but it was really busy for brunch. The food was good... I had chilaquiles, and my friend had the mac and cheese with bacon. We were both very... More

I'm really disappointed that they are such a rip off. I ordered 1 order of bruschetta from them the first time I ordered there and I got the same amount the second time I ordered there for when I placed an order for 2 bruschettas! They refused to credit or give me the 2nd bruschetta I ordered. DO NOT ORDER... More

This restaurant was recommended by Guy on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. So we figured we'd give it a try and we were glad we did--it was the best meal we've had during our stay in NYC! The meal consisted of split-half chicken with potato puree and steak with grilled potatoes and string beans. The steak and grilled potatoes were fantastic!... More

Went here for a Sunday brunch with 3 friends during my 30th birthday weekend in NYC after seeing the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode they were featured on. I’m a huge fan of bacon and cheese and this place was a match made in heaven. 2 of us arrived shortly before 11 and waited about 10 minutes for a table... More

The exterior of the hidden gem is both rustic and inviting with a chalkboard sign boasting "We got loads of Bacon! AND all the other brunch essentials!" Seriously, I didn't have to keep reading, the sign had me had "loads of bacon!" I kept reading anyway and I was intrigued by the unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary's. The "All You... More

This restaurant was featured in a popular tv food show......in 2010 and the word of mouth brought me and my friends to try SGS for the first time yesterday for dinner. The food was amazing and the portion of the small plates are so abundant that they could be easily be considered main entrée. What I particularly love about this... More
