EMBER WOOD FIRE GRILL is a casual dining restaurant, occupying the old historic train station in the quaint village of Livonia in Livingston County, committed to a hospitality first attitude. In an era dominated by chain restaurants and fast, pre-packaged food, our mission is to bring our patrons REAL food at reasonable prices. Comfort from scratch cuisine using the best ingredients from sustainable sources, whenever possible: selections with no growth hormones, pesticides, pre-packaged, frozen or use of steam tables will be used in our kitchen. Our food is high quality and labor intensive, the same as some of the top restaurants, in the country, without the big city over head, so we can keep our prices reasonable. Our hope is that you, our customer, will enjoy the combination of stunning modern architecture and old charm: simple, good food "meant to share" from farm to plate. Our menus will changes with the seasons, our wood fire selections are cooked with real wood, our wine and micro brew selections are large and extensive. Our well trained staff will make your selection approachable and fun. S.O.S.: Shorts or Suit, come down and enjoy!!!

Great food and knowledgeable waiter

We went with friends from out of town and had a great dinner! The waiter made wonderful suggestions and every thing we ordered was delicious. The ahai tuna nachos were unbelievably good! as well as the bruschetta and ravioli!

We have been to Ember numerous times over the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. It is the best restaurant in the Rochester area. The food is absolutely delicious and the wait staff is always friendly. It's really nice that one of the owners is always there to greet you as well. Definitely our favorite place!

Situated in a small town in the middle of nowhere, this gem is the best restaurant for miles. My wife and I made reservations on a Tuesday evening at 6:15pm. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server had an incredible gift of making you feel at home, he explained the specials in detail and was very knowledgeable with regards... More

On a visit to Conesus Lake we were taken to a novel restaurant just northeast of where we were staying. The Ember Wood Fire Grill was indeed novel with us eating in a beautifully refurbished Livonia train station. Our party of 4 chose from their SHARE MENU and feasted on 5 different dishes. One of our choices was the calamari... More

My husband and I went here last night and were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. We always eat early, so we had no trouble getting seated, but I think this place fills up pretty good on a beautiful Friday night during the dining hour. Everything everyone has said about the wonderful food and "tapas style" dining is... More

I went on a date to Ember, but families are also welcome there. All the food is ordered and meant to be shared. Depending on how many in your party depends on how much you ordered. My husband and I ordered enough to bring some home to the kids. 😄 We were happy with everything we ordered- especially the Sweet... More

Been open for 5 years and it's still amazing value. The menu is innovative and changes regularly. All around a great deal.

The food is to die for at Ember! Our visits here are never a disappointment, as the food is eclectic, fresh and delicious. Our last visit included their special brisket pizza, which was so incredible, as well as the twin beef fillets and seafood dishes. The special pickled vegetables, as well as the vegetables of the day are always so... More

Very good...but a little expensive. Try the wood fired pizza. The sliders were very good but have been off the menu.
