I went to Southside before Christmas to buy some salmon. I was very impressed by the fact that the fish case was empty (they hadn't loaded it yet). Well, the fish was terrific! Today, I took my mom there for lunch because she wanted a Lobster Roll. She said it was perfect, not too much mayonnaise. I had the Crab... More

This restaurant isn't a sit down restaurant with a waiter. You wait in line, place your order and wait for your number to get called. While you wait they have a bar for drinks and a clam bar for some appetizers. My favorite here is the calamari with linguini. As a kid I used to get the shrimp basket, which... More

Love seafood, not a big fan of picnic style dining, plastic utensils, being charged for a lobster cracker or cafeteria setting. Food is very good. I prefer to order from the fresh side, cook & eat at home……..just saying.

This is our favorite lobster place. Casual dress is a must, you will be carrying your own tray of food. The price is the best you can find, don't go by what's listed on the menu - ask what else they have - especially for sides. Order your main course and soup on what side of the restaurant, drinks and... More

We've eaten in the Resturant part of this establishment 3-4 times since we've lived here (28 years). The fish is the main option, all else is a distant second. However, the market is fantastic! Always fresh fish, clams, mussels, crabs, etc... But wow has the price of fresh fish gone through the roof. A definite recommend.

We take out often from South Side . My boyfriend always gets their seafood salad and he is very particular having been in the fish business years ago. They also make one of the best lobster bisque soups and they have a twin lobster special that people drive in from Brooklyn and the boroughs to enjoy. As with any seafood... More

Went for dinner and got the flounder. Wife had clams and the lobster. The food came out a little cool. (We prefer our food hot..Not warm... HOT!) So maybe we were a bit too criticle on that front. Otherwise, price was ok and pleasent surroundings.

What a mistake we made by going to this place yesterday. Firstly, I ordered 2 fried flounder lunch specials to go. The menu says $10.95. The older woman running taking the orders rings it up and it sounds like a couple dollars more than I expected. She says it is $11.95. I said the menu says $10.95. She responds "... More

This cafeteria style "eatery" was once better, but has declined significantly. After an extended wait for our food, the order was wrong. When we went back to the counter to get it corrected, we were told to get back into the line and wait to reorder. After sharing our bad experience with friends, we learned that recently they found a... More
