What a mistake we made by going to this place yesterday. Firstly, I ordered 2 fried flounder lunch specials to go. The menu says $10.95. The older woman running taking the orders rings it up and it sounds like a couple dollars more than I expected. She says it is $11.95. I said the menu says $10.95. She responds "... More

This cafeteria style "eatery" was once better, but has declined significantly. After an extended wait for our food, the order was wrong. When we went back to the counter to get it corrected, we were told to get back into the line and wait to reorder. After sharing our bad experience with friends, we learned that recently they found a... More

Here with some friends for dinner. $29.95 twin lobsters. Always good clams and oysters. Nothing fancy, just good seafood. Several choices of beer and a full bar too. Try it when you are in Lindenhurst.

Went here to fulfill seafood craving and I will never go back. My boyfriend and I got excited when we saw Maryland Blue Claw Crabs on the menu. We ordered them Old Bay style--which should have meant, steamed with Old Bay Seasoning. We get them...they are covered in garlic, peppers and not a drop of Old Bay. I tell the... More

This was our first meal in New York, and I thought this place would be off the chain given the amount of people. I was wrong. the beer was lukewarm, we waited almost an hour for our food, and when it came, the corn on the cob was soggy and the King crab was not even cracked/slit for easy opening!... More

We've been coming here for years.(incidentally, an hour's drive from home) The place was never fancy, but the seafood was dependable and fresh. We went there yesterday and it was terrible. there was only one person behind the order counter, who disappeared while we were waiting to order. After ordering, we went to get drinks at the beverage bar. Again,... More

This place is horrible. Outside sign says, "Two twin lobsters $23.99"... person taking order said, 'It's really $28.99"... I asked for the twin lobsters... and asked if one could be broiled and the other steamed... they said sure and charged me for to single lobsters at $18.99 a piece. They won't correct the mis-priced lobsters. Manager was very pissy about... More

Over the last 20 years, Southside has been my family's choice for fresh seafood. We buy all of our fresh fish there but have only eaten in the restaurant a handful of times. The quality has always been superior.

Southside is a frequently visited place by the locals. They offer fresh seafood at competitive prices. As far as the restaurant, I feel its lackluster and I could be a bit cleaner. The food is mediocre, but were back to the fair prices so in my opinion it's a matter of choice. Sure you can visit a restaurant that's cleaner... More
