I stayed in Liberty during a family medical emergency. Not one for diners as a rule, I went here because it was very close by the Days Inn, and offered a 10 percent discount to people staying there. There aren't many choices in Liberty unless you like fast food joints, so I wasn't expecting much. BUT was I blown away... More

However, lately (prior 2 years) the quality of the dishes has changed (negatively) and unfortunately the prices have skyrocketed! For this reason we no longer dine there. We used to never be disappointed, but we have had too many visits... More

During our recent trip to Callicoon we visited the Liberty Diner twice. Their chef salad was very good. Their chicken noodle soup was wonderful! Decent salad bar.

We each had an excellent meal of Teriyaki Chicken which included the soup and salad bar along with dessert included! As common, wine/beer are a separate. Despite being short-staffed, our waitress was attentive.

having stopped here for many years between Syracuse and NYC, we know what to expect... ordered 2 lunch specials- broiled scrod, chicken ala greque- came with soup and choice veggie/potato , ca heat -coffee-dessert(pudding). Soup was good and hearty-spit pea... but could use some extra heat -165 degrees I think is the safe temp...scrod was a great size- full dish... More

Better-than-expected veggie panini and fries, but over-reached with dessert, a stale slice of premise-made cake.
