Made a last minute reservation to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary, as our schedules changed at the last minute. The only seating available was at the bar but having Kristin take care of you at the bar is special. Great food, great service, excellent menu options and thanks for the nice treat of dessert. Someone else treated us to champagne... More

My family and I have been coming to Lake Placid for the last ten years. We have often walked past the Interlaken Inn, but never thought to eat there. Wes at ADK Aquatics recommended we give it a try. I was hesitant after reading some other reviews of the restaurant on Trip Advisor, but all I can say is that... More

I have to say, best meal in last 5 years. If you are a foodie and appreciate a quality meal, go!!! My wife had the burger and I had veal scallopini with side of truffle Mac and cheese. Believe I'm a food snob and a really good cook. Phenomenal x4. So good. Sit at the bar and enjoy the wonderful... More

OK, I'm supposed to be bowled over by the trendy "local this, artisanal that" food, in the beautiful dining room. Any time I spend over $100/person, I expect near-perfection. Service was good. Our requests to split the vichyssoise and salad 3 ways were honored. The menu on the web listed a fois gras appetizer, but it wasn't on the real... More

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property was lovely and quiet, albeit not all that well marked if you aren't staying in the main house, which I was not. Very friendly. Room service was great as well!

Dinner deserved a standing ovation, I had a cold and I could still taste the great quality of the food, they have a private room for exclusive dinner parties where we held our dinner as a group, strongly recommend

The menu offerings provide a diner freedom to either eat vegetarian or to indulge in meats. The fresh crusty rolls were piping hot. We opted to explore the intriguing first-course options as a total meal beginning with the Grilled Baby Iceberg Lettuce. Offered with this retro and classic dish was a delicious buttermilk blue cheese, smoky bacon pieces and a... More

We ate the Interlaken Inn again when we were in Lake Placid this past week and was not disappointed. We sat at the bar and the bartender (Blonde) has always been super nice, provides great service, etc - A real asset to Interlaken. On the other hand, the bartender was assisted by a Brunette and she seemed grumpy and was... More

Had the salmon and lamb chop special. Very good. The food could have been hotter. Our server was great, went above and beyond. Would definitely go back.

We had eaten at the Interlaken about 15 years ago and wanted to give it a try again for my husband's birthday, as it was a great experience in the past. First I would like to say that my complaint has NOTHING to do with the quality of the food or the service of the wait staff. Both quality and... More
