Overpriced and few choices. Even the "Lounge" menu is too expensive and not to my teenagers liking. We stayed at Whiteface Lodge and ate here on our first night - we did not like it well enough to return.

My husband and I are patrons there fairly often, so I knew the food would be great, however, the new menu Chef David put out was absolutely mouthwatering. I started with the peach and butter lettuce salad which was accompanied by fresh ricotta, a light citrus dressing and fresh honeycomb, yes HONEYCOMB- a perfect combinations of flavors and textures. We ate at Kanu for lunch today. Jordan was our server. The food and service were outstanding! I had the lobster pizza. Delicious! My husband had the burger and artisan fries. We shared the brownie sundae. Everything was exceptional!

We sat at the bar in the Kanu lounge. Zack is fantastic! So friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! He custom made a drink for my boyfriend by asking a few simple questions. It was fantastic! We split a wood fired margarita pizza and I had the Kilcoyne burger. The pizza was soo yummy with buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil! My burger... More

Love Kanu. We have been there for breakfast and ordered room service when staying at the Whiteface Lodge. Delicious food. Great service. The most beautiful environment to eat I have seen in the Adirondacks. A must do when traveling to Lake Placid.

The dining room is absolutely stunning, so we find ourselves returning to eat here occasionally. However the food is only just soso and nothing at all exceptional. For such a beautiful setting the food should be outstanding- they have a long way to go.

$8 for wings or chili + bread bowl or personal pizza and draft beer. It hit the spot. None of the food was a particular standout, but average-above average. The surroundings were excellent though, to eat in their lounge next to the fireplace, looking out over the snow covered grounds. That was excellent. The staff were friendly. Just what I... More

Had drinks in the lounge and dinner in the dining room. Food & service were very good and the sommelier was quite knowledgeable about the wines . Our server Jordan was attentive and amiable. Thought it a bit pricey , but then it is a resort destination and was only 1 vegetarian dish -mushroom bolognese on grits which was delicious.... More
