Went here for a late Sunday breakfast. One of the specials was the "Elvis"..peanut butter and banana pancakes. Delicious! Had their homefries/egg skillet dish which was fantastic. Good coffee too!

Started many a great day by having breakfast here and getting a sandwich for lunch for my pack. Food quality and taste is outstanding. Don't forget to order one of their paysannes for breakfast, a real treat. Here is a tip. Although it looks like a full service restaurant, it is not. Simply go to the counter and get a... More

When you walk in, you have no idea what kind of place you have entered. No signage to direct you and you're greeted by the back of a 5 ft tall deli case. When my wife and I paused for a moment inside the door not sure how to proceed, a young man from way down the counter asked if... More

Interesting lunch items and great breakfasts. Quite good, but seemed a little overrated by some locals.

Nine of us walked in, 4 being children under age of 5. The minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile. They have homemade bread, cookies, muffins, etc....We ordered breakfast and had a choice of 8 different breads from white, wheat to rosemary olive oil. Quality food and reasonable prices. You definitely do not walk out hungry. And... More

Always wonderfully creative sandwiches on delicious fresh breads. Soups are homemade and tasty. Breakfasts are great, also.

Bread is very good, their breakfast selection is great. The breakfast we ordered hit the spot after our morning mountain bike ride. Prices very reasonable.

I eat here regularly and I love most everything I've had (especially the flapjack specials like the red velvet and pumpkin). From the breakfast, the sandwiches, soups and salads, all is good. The bread is yummy. And have always had good service, especially from the young man behind the counter.

We didn't want breakfast......just wanted to buy a few loaves of their sourdough bread. We selected the Country White & the Honey Wheat, but were a bit concerned when we carried the bread to the car as it was SO heavy! Happy to report, however, that both breads were very good!

I was back in Placid this month and visited Sourdough again. Very happy again but one thing I need to correct. Realizing how important the coffee is when choosing a breakfast or lunch spot I'd like to share what I found out, and that is that Sourdough's coffee comes from a roaster in Vermont, and is not Seattle's Best. Some... More
