The beer is definitely the main attraction at this location. They have a decent selection of microbrewed offerings that are well worth trying. The food, however, left much to be desired. All four of my party were a little disappointed. I had clam chowder that was quite bland and unseasoned - tasted like it could have been from a can.... More

The food was poor at best and the service was not any better. For $26, the jumbo lump crab cakes were the size of golf balls and arrived cold. The Seafood Wellington for $31 was terrible with poor quality seafood and strange tasting sauce. The steamed broccoli and cauliflower were cold on all three dinner plates. The best thing on... More

We shared the Thai chili calamari to start. My wife ordered the seafood wellington and I had a rack of St. Louis ribs. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the portions were quite generous. We ate outdoors after dark. A bit more lighting at the table (we only had a little tea candle) would have been nice.

Good food, great waiter. It's a little dark inside when the sun is setting due to the dim lighting. But it was fine when it was dark outside. Cool things to look at on the walls and shelves.

The 6 of us stopped in for supper and were seated immediately. We all had steak or prime rib. Three of us had enough so that we all took some home. The food was really good.We tried the beer sampler and were surprised to fine that it consisted of 7 types of beer, 4 ounces each. With that much sample... More

Had lunch here for the first time last month with a friend. I was quite surprised at how great the food was. I ordered the "Jerk Spiced Chicken Sandwich" and loved every bite of it. The mango chutney sauce was very good. The friend ordered the BBQ Cheeseburger which was pretty large sized patty. For dessert we had "Chocolate Perversion"... More

Nice location on the main strip. Cozy interior. Food is expensive. The beer is superb. We tried a flight of their beers. My favourite was the citrus hopped John Brown IPA. Food was pub grade but just fine. Service was OK. Staff well trained. Kitchen was slow. We ate our bread waiting for the meal. When the meal didn't come... More

We had our first visit here in March 2014 for a wonderful couples meal then returned in May 2014 with the family. My first impression wasn't fair to judge this book by its cover. The outer and inner appearance and first impression did not do the staff, beer or quality of food justice. The staff have been wonderful on both... More

We are fortunate enough to have a house in Lake Placid and visit quite frequently. We try and eat somewhere different every time we visit. We were seated promptly, the dining room is a little cramped, but comfortable. Our waiter was extremely pleasant. My husband and myself both had the Cajun chicken alfredo served with linquini. It was very good,... More
