Table for 4 all happy with the entire meal & wonderful dessert. Food so fresh & the flavors are so delish. Better have reservations small farmhouse like restaurant but definitely worth visiting while in Lake Placid. Went back & enjoyed a wonderful lunch the next day.

Had breakfast here with the family this past weekend. The place is small but nice. The food was really good. Good quality ingredients, great coffee, and everything was homemade. I really enjoyed the sweet potato pancakes. Service was also really good. I would go back here again for sure.

I placed a take out order for what sounded like delicious food. It was ready at the suggested time and I drove back to my hotel 20 minutes away. There had been not a single table occupied in the restaurant when I picked up my food which should have been a warning. When I unpacked the food, I realized that... More

This is a must-visit restaurant in Lake Placid. With its small farmhouse-like environment, the food matches the experience. Expect items to involve rhubarb and strawberry plus local maple syrup. Chair 6 substitutes sweet potato pancakes for regular pancakes, thick-sliced bread for French toast, and it has one of the best sausage gravy dishes around. Its location outside of the main... More

Although outside of town proper......this charming LITTLE place is just great. I believe it is owned by one of the larger restaurants/hotels, and it offers the same quality. But be warned...it is on the pricy side for breakfast. Never had lunch there....didn't even know they served it!

They will not let you bring your dog even if you sit outside! I have never eaten at a place that does not allow dogs for outside seating. The manager doesn't know basic regulations regarding animals I guess. Obviously for pet owners this place is a no go. The food was average breakfast fair. Nothing special honestly

Fantastic dinner. We were there on a Wednesday: lucky us! Their prix fixe dinner had a lovely menu. We loved the roasted garlic and tomato soup as well as the corn bisque. The Arctic char was well done, with a cream sauce. The mozzarella ravioli seemed to have a touch of lemon and basil, and were wonderful. The panna cotta... More

We recently ate at Chair 6 and thoroughly enjoyed it...but it was really really expensive...we paid dinner rates for breakfast... 1 pancake, 1 egg, breakfast meat of choice, potatoes and bread for $12...really? On the flip side my smoked trout omelette was perfect and that I would have paid 12 bucks for...

Perhaps Chair 6 specializes in breakfast and/or lunch. I had dinner there with three friends, and we were very disappointed. The gourmet in the group described the menu as "too busy." Many dishes had fennel. Ravioli with beets? Nothing on the menu resembled any dish I've had in any part of the world. That in itself isn't necessarily negative, but... More

This restaurant was down the street from our B&B. We loved the selection and freshness of the food. Their wine list was reasonable and had many fun beers to try. We tried a number of different appetizers and they were all excellent. The soft shell crab was particularly yummy! When we went back on Wednesday they were running a Why... More
