Chair 6 is one of our favorite restaurants in Lake Placid. Our daughter and her husband were visiting us from Miami over the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. We decided to take them to Chair 6 to celebrate their birthdays. We all had the beef filet. Wonderful. We had wine with the dinner that made the evening perfect!

Well of course it's small. Very pleasant staff and excellent food. The soups are delicious, especially butternut squash. We were there for lunch but would love to go back for dinner.

Our second time here in 1 year and we loved it (again). The duck was Amazing, the elk wonderful, and we had the largest ravioli I have ever seen as the appetizer! The server was very considerate and let us taste several different wines before finding the one we wanted. It's not cheap but worth the price, and off the... More

I almost wasn't going to write this review since there are so many others giving this restaurant the accolades it deserves. As the title states we dropped in for Why Not Wednesday when the only menu in service is their special fix price 3 course dinner menu for $20 per person. We called about 5:00 to make reservations and they... More

We went there to celebrate our anniversary and treated ourselves to the 5 course wine and food pairing. All the courses were chef's choice so we didn't really know what we were getting into. Our trust was well placed. Not only did it meet our expectations, it well exceeded them. The food was superb from the first course to the... More

Our first time at Chair 6. The perfect chance to try a new restaurant that we now look forward to returning to again. The meal was worth much more than the $20.00 per person price. We were also able to purchase a nice bottle of wine at the same price. Service was perfect. Not to slow and not rushed. Anyone... More

Thanks to another tripadvisor review for this small restaurant we took advantage of the Why Not Wednesday meal deal: $20 for 3 courses. What a bargain. I'm not one to go for "cheap for cheaps" sake so believe me when I say they could have charged twice as much for this wonderful food. The beer special was $3. And, the... More

We happened upon this lovely restaurant in a rather unlikely venue that was advertising a yard sale. The restaurant is in the front room of an older house with only a few tables thus creating a very cozy feel. We had a wonderful lunch served to us by a charming waitress. The soup was outstanding and the chef came out... More

If you're a hungry skier with hollow legs, you'll need to go elsewhere for quantity. This restaurant has stunning, ambitious cuisine. The building itself is a converted private house, so space is at a premium, but service is very good. Prices are a little more than I'm used to (at least $30 for an entree), and the portions are small, but... More
