Nice décor, with good service. The food was good but prefer Cajun with a bit more kick. Enjoyed the experience but be aware, this is not the place if you are looking for a quite romantic meal.

This is typical roadhouse fare with a Cajun twist. We had a filling lunch and quite enjoyed the food. $40 for two mains, one appetizer, one beer. I'll go back for the Gumbo Poutine, a Cajun twist on a French Canadian classic. Really good flavours, and soooo filling. Service was attentive and quick, but we were there in off season... More

Portions are large, service is friendly ... Would not recommend meals for teenagers --- they did not enjoy their meals. My husband enjoyed his bar b que chicken and as a vegetarian I enjoyed my vegetarian stew and fried okras and vegetables Place is a bit noisy and with it being summer and the doors open a bit of flies... If you're looking for a BBQ meal then this is a solid choice in Lake Placid. Other rating websites don't give many Lake Placid establishments particularly good reviews. On a Lake Placid scale this is good.

So yeah, the menu looks great. In reality, not so great. Not terrible, but expensive for what you get. Fried Gator bite appetizer, very tasty but almost $14 for a very small portion. Not worth the price. The meal was decent, I had country fried steak. Decent portion, fairly good. My wife had the oyster po-boy, good but small for... More

Gave this restaurant a second shot, first time was not memorable. Food was good but pricey, $14 for a handful of gator bites and $17 for an oyster point boy that comes with potato chips. Service was poor but pretty sure it was our waiter's first night since he never refilled our drinks and was unfamiliar with the menu. Not... More

We went here for a late lunch. We sat and spoke with the manager before eating. The owner is from Louisiana and creates her own recipes for the menu, I am told the menu does change. I tried the "House Gumbo" I can say that this was not the typical gumbo and visiting the south a lot, this was the... More

Go here if you enjoy really good fresh beer, but please don't judge it for the interior. It is still a work in progress.

Good food and beverage in the middle of town. Good menu, good service and good prices. You can't really go wrong with this place. Been here twice and didnt leave hungry. Couple of TV's for watching sports.

My husband and I stopped in for a drink and were pleasantly surprised. They had a good selection of crafts on draft which appeal to women too (magic hat, purple haze) and they had a good selection of interesting mixed drinks. The menu is cajun, creole and BBQ. I decided to try the cajun frog legs and my husband had... More
