An alternative to Ben and Jerry's.

This is a hometown kind of place, that has soft serve ice cream as well as hand dipped. I had an ice cream sandwich with soft serve vanilla pressed between 2 home made chocolate cookies!

We went to Emma's for ice cream two nights in a row. Good variety of flavors, great service, and not nearly as crowded as the other ice cream place.

Forget Ben and Jerry down the block, this little shop had excellent soft serve ice cream. Yes they also had hard ice cream but my family and I had to continue to return for the fresh, perfectly served soft ice cream. Sadly the place if up for sale but great ice cream and would definitely return.

Quaint little ice cream shop with nice selection. Very clean. Friendly staff. One night I was walking my little dog and they were okay with me allowing him to come in while I got ice cream to take back to my husband in the hotel room. Lake Placid as a whole seems very dog friendly to well behaved pups!

One of the tastiest ice cream cakes I've ever had. It was full of fudge and chocolate crunchies. The Sundays and other dessert products were top quality

Gotta visit Emma's whenever we hit Lake Placid during the Lax Tourneys every year in August! So sorry that they are selling the business to move out of state. We sure hope someone can come in & take over the place with no changes whatsoever. Probably not nice to say, but we walk right past Ben &Jerry's to get to... More

I was desperate for an ice cream when I came across this shop. There was plenty of choice and quite large portions. It's in the middle of a busy shopping centre but there's somewhere to sit and eat it across the road. Definitely worth more than one visit.

I had a maple soft serve and it was very good and different. The employees were young teenagers and didn't seem to know how to interact with customers but that is acceptable for an ice cream parlor! It was very small and there is not much seating. Would return.
