You wont' find burgers and fries or hot wings on this "bar's" menu but you will find "Fried Duck Hearts." Since it is a bar/tavern, they also have a good selection of wines an exhausting list of beers and a long list of imaginative cocktails. You may find it difficult to determine just what exactly you will be getting from... More

This is more than a restaurant it is an experience. Do not be afraid to try some that might be out of your usual . Creative menus for liquids an solids . Both executed well. Cab be very crowded at time because locals love this place as much as travelers. Favorites were the brussels sprouts and the squash and gnocchi.... More

OK... this place definitely looks like a rustic bar from the outside. So glad a native recommended it at one of the best places in town and then tripadvisor reinforced that recommendation! We were totally wowed by everything we had: a lovely local goat cheese and a pork and pistachio terrine (with extraordinary delicacies (condiments); the onion soup; the spaghetti... More

Great casual atmosphere and very creative menu. Awesome drink choices and especially good for beer drinking snobs. The service was friendly and food better than it looks. This is not your average hamburger and fries place.

This is an updated review because I can't say enough good about this place. L&S is easily our favorite restaurant in Lake Placid. The constantly updated menu, the excellent selection of beer and always awesome mixed drinks makes every visit different and incredible. In the past, my only complaint (and it was a minor one) was service could be slow... More

We went there to celebrate a birthday and chose the 4 course food and beer pairing. The food was upscale comfort food, befitting the well matched, interesting beer choices. We wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. The menu was full of many eye-catching selections that we would like to try on future visits. This is great destination for beer snobs... More

Its 2 years since we last enjoyed the experience. Liz still works there and the service is perfect and the food is still eclectic and really good. The drinks are inventive and interesting, and the beer selection is huge and from all over. Great place. Especially if you are tired of the same old deep fried seafood and steak at... More

Don't be afraid to try something new as I assure you, the chefs will prepare it superbly. The service is great as is the ambiance. Do not miss this place on your next visit... More

WOWWWWWW! I can't stop thinking about the dinner we had here. At first we were not going to stay because we walked in and there was no TV's (Rangers & the Jet's were both playing). We decided to just stay and have a romantic dinner. I'm so glad we stayed because it was the most romantic place. The vibe is... More
