I have been a long time customer at the Lake Placid Lodge's two restaurants: Maggie's Pub and The Artisan. I stopped going to the Artisan because it was too pricey for the quality of the food. Maggie's pub offered good food most of the time. When we took our in-laws this past weekend for dinner the food was so mediocre... More

As a many time visitor to Lp lodge, I continue to be thrilled by the place. You don't have to stay in the sublimely decorated and tended to rooms, though, to get the best of an adirondack great camp experience. Just go to Maggie's, take in the spectacular view and then head to the bar. Laurie, the bartender is a... More

I love the atmosphere of Maggie's. For one thing, it's a great place to gather and see friends. For another, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. And you can't beat the setting on the shores of Lake Placid. That is worth the drive all on its own. The menu is somewhat limited, the food good but the prices a bit... More

Maggie's is a favorite of mine, being a local but only for Lori's martinis. The food is overpriced, and frankly not very impressive in my opinion. A great pub to connect with friends.

This beautiful restaurant is expensive but worth every penny. The atmosphere is spectacular and the food just terrific. At lunch there this week we ordered the "special"- a risotto cake on greens; it was unusual and absolutely delicious. you feel like a queen or king when you eat at Maggie's.

I often play host for my friends as i am an avid visitor to Lake Placid and often commit to long term village rentals in the summer/fall season. Every new group that comes to visit will always be brought to the lodge to experience great adirondack atmosphere, food and drinks. We enjoy the pub-side as its a bit louder than... More

Enjoyed the decor but the food was just so so. Had tasteless salmon and ordinary Bolognese. Food and drinks were overpriced and the selection of beer and wine was limited. A pretty little place but wouldn't go again

Having eaten here many times, the setting is truly what entices people to return. The lodge and the decor carry the patina of classic, adirondack style, monied elegance. The food choices are grounded, rustic fare such as a delicious Wild Boar sausage and ample local, rustic cheese selections with raw honey, or Cream of Cauliflower soup with pickled onion. This... Located on the lower level of the lodge. The pub has very cramped quarters and kind of smelled like a fraternity after a long weekend. Pool table crowded up against tables. Very awkward. Expensive drinks. Decorated very well with amazing views, though.

We have been here several times and we love the views and the timeless Adirondack feel of Maggies. It is intimate and charming. I am less impressed by the food. The butternut squash soup was above average but we both ordered salads for lunch and although the prices were reasonable, there was nothing exceptional about our choices. The beet and... More
