Lovely Afternoon Lunch Spot on Lake Placid

Celebrating a birthday on a Sunday afternoon at the Lake Placid Lodge - Maggie's Pub. Awesome setting with a table for 6. I believe we arrived just prior to a big shift change because it took quite some time to get a waiter. We definitely had some difficulties ordering drinks as it took some... read more

See my review on our stay at the Lodge but wanted to add a note here on the Maggie's page - - our meal was quite tasty (special high marks for a delicious, though pricey, burger) but service out on the porch was extremely slow. Taking and filling our drink orders was so delayed that our entrees arrived seconds after... More

You have to read this one all the way through as you cannot make this stuff up! What an uncomfortable, unforgettable experience. A weekend special luncheon with friends from out of town was meant to be singular in a stunning location of old elegance. Instead, it was an abject failure involving both waitstaff and food. Bear in mind, this establishment... More

We waited 25 minutes for the staff to deliver a cheese plate and lobster rolls. Before you think there is a wide array of food, the only other item before 6pm is a burger.

Once a cozy, informal, great dining pub set in the picturesque Relais & Chateaux Lake Placid Lodge, I'm sooo sorry to report that the quality of the food has seriously declined since I last dined here this past winter. Excited to enjoy a nice relaxing lunch overlooking spectacular Lake Placid and the surrounding mountains, we were off to a good... More

Duck confit poutine and lobster mac 'n cheese - you don't find these items on many pub menus and this is just another example of the Lodge taking it to the next step. Good space to sit in front of a fire and chow (and drink!) down.

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and great food. If you have the time, this is a great place to sit and relax for several hours. You can sit inside or out or, take your drink with you and walk around the lodge and the grounds. The people are terrific and very accommodating. It's expensive but perfect for a special occasion.

We came here for drinks and appetizers. My husband had 2 margaritas, I had one mixed drink. They were all good, but the 2 margaritas were $15 each and quite small. My waitress spilled my water as she poured it, quite obviously, and never mentioned it or cleaned it up. Then we had the marinated olives, lobster slider and small... More

My dad took my BF and I there last night for my bday. I've been here several times before for both drinks and dinner and both times I've been rather "meh" about it. I thought I'd give one more chance but in the end, I've decided I'm just plain over it. The food was mediocre at best. The poutine needed... More

We stopped in for a drink and absolutely fell in love. We were the only two people in the pub and were quickly greeted with a warm welcome. Staff suggested we take our drinks and stroll around the lodge to take a look...which is absolutely GORGEOUS. We pulled a table up to the couch and ate in front of the... More
