We stopped in for a drink and absolutely fell in love. We were the only two people in the pub and were quickly greeted with a warm welcome. Staff suggested we take our drinks and stroll around the lodge to take a look...which is absolutely GORGEOUS. We pulled a table up to the couch and ate in front of the... More

Two fabulous bartenders make this Pub a wonderful gathering spot for guests and locals alike at the Lake Placid Lodge. Very festive and fun with a glowing fire, billiards, games and good camaraderie. Only suggestion would be to expand the menu with specials and some lighter fare.

My family has been coming to lake placid lodge for decades and have loved Maggie's pub since its inception. (See my previous 5 star reviews) I feel such loyalty to the place and the few remaining longtime staff that I have held off writing this for months, but after many increasingly disappointing visits over the past several months, I have... I have been to Maggie's pub several times over the past three years. The food is above average, but the prices are truly out of line with the quality. The stew was $30. Several times I have had the hamburger, with which you can have french fries for a four dollar surcharge, french fries that are truly average. It was... More

We arrived at the pub that I have visited once a month for years now. The pub side of the hotel has always been "Seat yourself" / "First come first serve". After speaking with fellow guests whom had a great seating situation by the fireplace had offered us their place once they finish their drinks. Great, right? Well we bought... More

I have been going to the Lodge for 15 years, and have sent hundreds of people there to eat or stay over that time. Visited recently and was shocked at the prices and the service. $ 36.00 for a Chicken Cesar Salad. There has been a huge turnover of staff, they seemed overwhelmed and it certainly is not the 5... Stopped by after reading that this was one of the fifteen best ski town pubs in the US. The atmosphere is outstanding and the location is unbeatable. Right on Lake Placid... The staff were courteous and attentive. We ordered two cauliflower soups for lunch (I was disappointed with the soup considering the price... I had high expectations for that cost)... More

This place used to be a GEM, now it is highly over priced and management has become unwelcoming to their guests. We have spent many special occasions here and will not continue the tradition because the food has declined and the prices have skyrocketed. Poor poor Maggie's Pub! They now cater to the elite and quality is not up to... More

Like one of the previous reviews, I am an owner at the Whiteface Club & Resort and rent out my condo quite a bit. I have, for over 7 years, highly recommended Maggies Pub and the Lake Placid Lodge as a great place to go after a long day out. The lodge itself is spectacular, the views, décor and the... More

Maggie's Pub is decorated in high Adirondack style and has a view overlooking Lake Placid. The large fireplace was much appreciated on the cold and rainy day that we visited for lunch. The quality of the food was good and the service very pleasant and fast. Our lunch was rather expensive and somewhat unequal to the quality of the food.... More
