LUNCH FOR DAYS

46 sandwiches for the 46 high peaks? HELL YEAH! The Algonquin is one of my favorites next to Haystack. SO many options even down to the bread. Every time we visit Lake Placid, my fiance and I always make sure we stop in for lunch at least twice during our week-long trip. (We even grab sandwiches... read more

On a recent backpacking trip in the Seward range, I began longing for a crepe from Big Mountain Deli. It took little convincing to get my family to pack out early on Saturday and drive to Lake Placid for breakfast. We were sad to see a long line but so happy when we finally got our breakfast: a salmon spinach... More

Very creative selections, many choices, good quality. Love the table for two in the front window. Seating somewhat crowded so grab this table if you can. Service was fast. Would definitely return when in LP again.

OMG their Creme Brûlée crepe is to die for! It was my breakfast a couple times last week while we were in Lake Placid for the Lax Tourneys. My daughter-in-law turned me onto it last year. They have any kind of crepe, sandwich, smoothie or cocktail imaginable. Some you'd never dream of as a combination. It's no wonder the line... More

Thanks for the review! We're happy to hear you love the crepes- and everything else we have to offer. It's nice to hear that people love our food enough to eat with us day after day- and we hope that happens again the next time you are in town. (Even if we have to wait until Lax time next year...)... I stopped into the Big Mountain Deli & Creperie recently for a cup of delicious coffee, a Cascade (PB and J) sandwich for my daughter, and a roast turkey with cheddar and horseradish cranberry sauce sandwich for me. Menu includes an extensive selection of sandwiches and crepes. Be prepared to wait in line during peak hours (breakfast and lunch). Their... More

The flag out front says 46 sandwiches for the 46 Adirondack high peaks. And they do not disappoint. The variety, creativity and quality of the sandwiches are outstanding. I highly recommend Big Mountain Deli for lunch.

Great place for lunch. We had sandwiches and crepes and enjoyed it all! So good. As it gets very crowded inside, get your order to go and sit at one of the picnic tables overlooking the lake.

Went there specifically for crepes since that's what the kids wanted. Crowded, but line was moving. Screwed up one of our orders, and we brought it to there attention, but to no avail. Crepes were otherwise pretty good..

Busy little place! We had only the crepes but they were very tasty. It was crowded and hot inside on our visit -wanted to sit outside but no tables available - around lunchtime. Little pricey but local and very good. Two crepes and free water $25.00 I would go again!

Thanks for the review- we are happy to hear you enjoyed your crepes! We also have a wide variety of salads and sandwiches which can be ordered to go (as can the crepes). This sometimes makes it a little easier when there are a lot of people- you can take the food and sit down at the park, which looks... More

The line was very long and it was packed like sardines. the sweet crepes are alright but. The entree crepes are nasty. My family got the smore crepe and they liked it. I got the Mac n cheese crepe and it tasted burnt. How can you burn a crepe 😂
