Must have been a bad day

Maybe it's not a good idea to hit this place mid-week in late winter. We went for breakfast, expecting yummy crepes as described in so many reviews. Anticipating an afternoon of XC skiing, I decided to go decadent and sweet and ordered a "French toast bread pudding" crepe. What I got was an... read more

They have fantastic crepes, but don't wait too late in the day to go, as I think they close about 3pm. We have tried to go here for the past few years of visiting Lake Placid for my Birthday, but always lost track of time, and they were closed by the time we remembered. But this year, we remembered earlier,... More

I brought my family to Lake Placid for a brief but wonderful family vacation. I had heard about a fabulous fresh food creperie and deli on the main strip. I tried it out with my family in tow and couldn't have been more impressed! A friendly man behind the counter even greeted my family as we sat down and the... More

I am shocked by the good reviews of this place! Just grabbing sandwiches was an ordeal, big messy sandwich board with snotty impatient young kids working. It took forever after I ordered and no where to really wait. Very claustrophobic. Sandwich was nothing special. Oh well, won't be back.

We had breakfast here during Presidents week. The place has a wast and wonderful selection of crepes, adding to their extensive list of sandwiches and other delicacies. We tried a variety of sweet and savory crepes - which were made at our order within 10 minutes!

40+ sandwiches. I've tried 12, all have been excellent! My two favorite breads are the caramelized onion, and the Rosemary garlic. Strongly suggest having sandwiches pressed on the grill! Super Nom-noms. Their giant cookies are the bomb! Their coffee drinks trump Starbucks... And last but not least, their crepes... BIG, full , unique combinations.. Savory ones are a plus! Super... This place and its sister location Simply Gourmet are just amazing. The homemade bread - especially the Asiago is to die for. The soups are ever changing and we love them all. The cookies too. We actually prefer the uptown location because parking is less of an issue. Expect a wait on Main Street or call ahead for take out.... More

We all had crepes, they were great. I had one with veggies and goat cheese. Fun family lunch place. Does get very crowded with limited seating.

I used to get my lunch here once a week or so. Prices have gone up, though: one roast beef sandwich with cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing costs $8.75, $9.45 with tax. Add in something to drink and maybe a bag of chips, plus a tip for the (very personable) staff, and lunch will cost you closer to twenty bucks.... More

"What a nice little shop and look at all those crepes and sandwiches" were my thoughts as I walked in the door and looked up at the menu boards that reached the ceiling behind the counter. Although there were 46 items, I ordered the #1 on freshly baked tomato & basil bread which was excellent. My wife and daughter enjoyed... More
