Good Place

When you enter Lake Placid, this is located right at the main intersection. The Bar and Restaurant areas are great. Everything is great from the service, the food, the TV's and the fireplace. Very comfortable

My son loves going to the Dancing Bear. They have a very kid friendly menu ( fries, grill cheese ect..). For the grown ups, happy hour is great. You get half price and they have a variety of beers. We usually get a plate of over flowing Nachos and burgers for the meal. Just a nice place and atmosphere. Sit... More

We recently visited the Dancing Bears for dinner after a long day of skiing. The service we received was fast and friendly and we were quickly shown to a table in the bar area. We had chicken wings and a caesar salad for an appetizer and the steak sandwich, BB & B burger and 4 cheese pepperoni pizza for our... More

I never dump on restaurants but this place was a train wreck from start to finish with zero highlights. Attitude was the Soup De Jour, served at reservation desk, the bar and the waitstaff. So it's this hard. Miss, our twenty minute wait was an hour, can you please bring a salad with chicken and a plate of Nachos quickly... More

Whenever we go to Lake Placid we make it a point to get to The Dancing Bears. Good food and good service. We hadn't been there for a few years and the staple we looked forward to had changed dramatically. With now three nacho options (we remember an entire nacho menu), we were still excited to check them out. Upon... More

We were staying at the High Peaks Resort where the Dancing Bear Restaurant is located. It was a snowy morning and it was nice to be able to stay inside and have our breakfast. My husband had the stuffed french toast which he totally enjoyed and I had the vegetarian Benedict which was delicious. The restaurant has large windows and... More

The place is nice, busy, little loud at Times, we we're near the bar. Now if you want to get your food quickly,I'd say no. We waited quite a long time to... More

My husband and i stopped in for a late lunch and the food has always been excellent. This time when we stopped in on February 10th.....the lettuce in our salads was wilted and old. The nachos that my husband ordered were so soggy that he didnt even eat half of them. We will be back but hopefully our late lunch... More
