NYtravler49, thank you for your recent feedback and I’m sorry to hear that you were not informed of our great happy hour specials. We have half off draft beers, $2 Budlights, $5 house wine and $5 house mixed drinks. It seems that the downfall was service both in information and attention, which I will address. When you are back in... More

We ate here four times and each and every time the we had a great experience. We thought that the prices were very reasonable especially for being located right in the middle of everything. The portions of food were huge, the quality/taste/presentation/service/atmosphere were outstanding too. There were better selections on the menu for each meal times too.

Fburgard, thank you so much for your recent feedback. I’m happy that you chose to eat with us at the DB four times but am extremely happy that you enjoyed each and every experience. Though we’ve come a long way in the past few months we’ve been pushing to improve in all aspects of our business. I hope that next... More

This place was as expected, with a nice interior decor, and mediocre service/food. I would recommend this place only out of convenience and if other options are not available.

Srj55, Thank you so much for your recent feedback. I’d be curious to know just what about your experience made it mediocre. Please contact me at the hotel directly if you’d like to discuss. Thanks again. Chris More

We were here year's ago and it was nice but the remodeling is very much 100% better. We love it there.

Hunting9, thank you so much for your recent feedback. I came across some old photos the other day of what the Dancing Bears Lounge looked like before its move and remodel. I shared them with some of our bar patrons and had a great discussion of how much the restaurant has changed and how much it is continuing to improve.... More

The pros: convenient location near our hotel, large and attractive dining room. Good beer selection. Good burger options (bbq, blue cheese, interesting choices.) The bad: the food is really just okay. The nachos look pretty, but fake cheese? Seriously? It was the mushy yellow goo, and not real cheese. Bleh! The french fries look cute in their little baskets, but... More

Tradergirl93, thank you so much for your recent feedback. I’m happy to hear “The pros” portion of your review. We’ve tried to grow our beer selection with current trends and we are getting a lot of traction and positive feedback. I'm sorry to hear about “the bad”. We do use a combination of melted jalapeno cheese as well as shredded... More

Didn't mean to relive last year's bad experience here, but why not give them another chance...maybe our one-time then was just an anomaly. C'mon guys...was here last year, and were there other known dining options in town @10:30 for dinner, we would have gone there, but alas, in keeping with the general theme of customer service is not our thing... Nice atmosphere. Tasty food. Very attentive waitress. Like to sit and watch life go by. The reuben was excellent. The hand cut chips were crisp and delish. My husband enjoyed the thai shrimp and a side of sweet potatoes fries and was very pleased.

Erikakeno, So happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent experience at the DB. We have come a long way in a few short months and are looking forward to constant improvement. When you enter Lake Placid, this is located right at the main intersection. The Bar and Restaurant areas are great. Everything is great from the service, the food, the TV's and the fireplace. Very comfortable

Susie M, I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience in November. Thank you for your feedback and I am very happy to be able to share this with my team. Try your best to make it to Lake Placid during the summer months as the experience, though different, is just as wonderful. Thank you again. More

My son loves going to the Dancing Bear. They have a very kid friendly menu ( fries, grill cheese ect..). For the grown ups, happy hour is great. You get half price and they have a variety of beers. We usually get a plate of over flowing Nachos and burgers for the meal. Just a nice place and atmosphere. Sit... More

Teachmusic, thank you so much for your recent review. As much as restaurants in Lake Placid try to cater to the tourist market, I find the local market to be just as important. We recently visited the Dancing Bears for dinner after a long day of skiing. The service we received was fast and friendly and we were quickly shown to a table in the bar area.
