a pleasant surprise

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks served at this hotel restaurant (High Peaks Resort). Our drinks were always generous and well-mixed. We enjoyed great pub-fare here: tasty calamari, pizza, french onion soup, salads... breakfasts, which were included in our hotel... read more

Probably one of the worst dining experiences we have endured. We ordered flatbreads and beet salads. We have dined at the Dancing Bears Restaurant many years and well over 100 times. The service was fine, the atmosphere lovely, but the food was horrible. There must have been a change in the chef.

We had fajitas which is a common dish in Arizona where we live, but this was equal if not better than our restaurants in Scottsdale. The serve Matt was pleasant, patient and charming.

We had a great experience at Dancing Bears Restaurant. We actually went because we wanted to sit on the upstairs deck but found out that is actually a different restaurant and menu! After looking at that menu, we decided to stay at Dancing Bears and were given a seat by the front window which had a view of the lake.... More

Went for a casual meal and it was decent, not bad but nothing special. If you're looking for a quick bite and not expecting fine dining or service (very slow) it is adequate.

The bf and I stayed at high peaks resort. We just went to Dancing Bears for drinks and sat at the bar. The service was good and the drinks were good. We had a reservation somewhere else on the lake but the food we did see looked amazing!! We thought about skipping out on our reservation and staying there! Definitely... More

I am sorry to say that I am unimpressed with the Dancing Bears Restaurant. My husband and I walked into this restaurant one morning for breakfast and they turned us away telling us there was a 25 minute wait to even be attended to once we sat down although the restaurant wasn't really crowded and it was a week day.... We sat inside, against the windows and had a view of Mirror Lake, plus great people watching. The menu downstairs is broader and less expensive than the open air seating upstairs. Our server Kindsley was pleasant and efficient. We had one burger and one chicken breast sandwich. The portions were enormous. We should have shared just one. Each came with... More
