After an afternoon of meeting new friends and enjoying some drinks, food became important. We were lucky to find Dancing Bears on the main drag and enjoyed a quality meal, atmosphere, and experience there.

Overall, the food was really good. Our waitress had dirty hands and it turned us off a little. Would go back again though. I'd definitely get the smoked salmon for breakfast again.

Rainbow trout was recommended by the waiter however it was terrible, The breading soaked up a good two tablespoons of grease from being fried, Inedible!

We had breakfast at the Dancing Bears on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was not busy which was highly unusual but it was off season. The breakfast items came out hot and the portions were large. I had the French toast and I had 6 pieces along with my perfectly cooked bacon. The French toast was made from scratch. A... More

My husband and I love traveling to Lake Placid, and especially love to have a drink or two at area restaurants/bars. We always are sure to stop in The Dancing Bears Restaurant to have a few drinks. I can't say enough about Jamie Lynn (I hope I have that right) as the bartender (maybe even a manager). She is friendly,... More

First off it was our first time in Lake Placid. It was just beautiful walking around town. John was our waiter he was great. Made us feel at home. We started off with 2 draft blue moons which were half off that day. He got our orders in very quickly and the food was amazing. We ordered the new york... More

Great view of downtown Main Street. Can be very busy during the summer. Good for family dinning. Try the grill cheese and soup, kids can share.

Stacy, our waitress, was the best part of dining at the Dancing Bears. Food was average...not a lot of flavor...something you would whip together from leftovers on a Tuesday night. One upside is that if you visit Lake Placid in the off season, the sidewalks roll up early and Dancing Bears stays open until 10 as it is part of... More

Okay breakfast. Excellent service. Great view of the downtown Lake Placid. Back booth location was okay but felt a bit cramped even for two of us. Very busy at the height of the brunch crowd on a Sunday, but we still received very prompt service.

A quiet restaurant during the off-season, the food and service were nevertheless very good! We were four diners and each of us ordered something different. I tasted everybody's food and found everything tasty. I am looking forward to returning when the bears are dancing!
