Fun!

Pub food, draft beer, and a view out onto the lake... which even in the winter is a lot of fun to have!

Always popular, this little restaurant is romantic and cozy... Right over the water, with a fireplace and rustic interior. Food choices are limited and not adventurous.Delicious chowder, and the cocktails are a heavy pour. The bartenders always funny. Overall, quaint and hard to leave! Awkward waiting for a seat as there is nowhere to stand, so diners are the entertainment.

Had dinner with my wife and two kids while staying at the Mirror Lake Inn. The menu is fairly limited but the quality was good. 3 of us had flatbread pizzas and my wife had what was basically a fancy steak and cheese. The place is small but very cozy. The service was adequate. The prices were reasonable in the... More

Recommended as a nice Lunch and View of the Adirondacks, we looked forward to our meal. The views are spectacular the lunch items nice but well lets just say $$$$$$ for an average taste and small portion, the biggest shock was I ordered a bottle of beer with my lunch which was imported but $12.00 for one beer I mean... A small eatery that is associated with the Mirror Lake Inn (across the street) that is right on the lake. It was a blustery snowy day, there was a fire in the woodstove, some yummy nibbles (we ordered the baked brie with almonds, apple slices and a raspberry coulis on top, since we just wanted a snack) and a most... Best bar in Lake Placid. I shouldn't even write this so it won't get more crowded but it's a great spot. Warm, pub atmosphere with indoor and outdoor fire places. Good, sandwich/salad type food and a great bar. Not cheap but worth every penny. Get warmed up and try the Shot Ski.

This restaurant is as close to the lake as you can be. The food is great. Not a great amount of choices and good for the foodie. This place takes food and makes it more interesting (flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, salads.... but all with a twist!

This place overlooks Mirror Lake and I could have sat for hours watching the ice skaters and snow falling. Try the snowstorm drink that will warm you from the insides...absolutely delicious. It is a cozy vibe after a day on the slopes.

The Cottage is perched on the edge of Mirror Lake, and even when it is -10 below, which it often is during the winter months in Lake Placid, the warmth and coziness of The Cottage are hard to beat.

Can't beat the view, you can sit and watch the skaters on the lake and check out the view. Yummy quiche.
