great beer

We ate here on two occasions while we were visiting Lake Placid. The main floor is noisy so head up to the next floor or eat outside on the deck. The food is typical pub fare and good. The beer is excellent. Parking can be a challenge.

We were in town for the Lake Placid Lacrosse tournament, so needless to say it was busy in town. We brought our family of four (including a six year old and a two year old) here without a reservation and were seated right away. There is an elevator to get to the third floor for those with strollers, like us.... More

We've been here the past 2 years during the lacrosse tournament. The food and beer are very good. There are 3 floors and outdoor seating so hopefully you can find a spot you're happy with.

We took a few friends to this place who had never experienced the Pub. We went early, put our names in, and went down to bar on the first floor where they have a swag shop and a brand-new fusball table. As per usual, right before we got another beer our beacon lit up and we were sat in a... More

My boyfriend and I stopped in after visiting the wild center in Tupper Lake. We went to the second floor and asked to be seated outside. I went to use the lady's room, got back, my boyfriend used the men's room and got back then another 5 minutes passed before anyone even approached us. We werent in a hurry so... More

Having never climbed a high peak before and doing 2 this day having the promise of a great meal afterwards kept me going. The food was very good and plenty of it. Our party of 4 all had the Schultzy Burger plate and it was so good, messy to eat, but worth it. They also have a promotion of 10%... More

We ate at the Lake Placid Pub two nights in a row. We stayed at the Hampton Inn for a family vacation and the pub was right next door - very convenient and we were excited by the positive reviews. The pub has three different stories of food/bars as well as an outside area. There are some games for kids... More

I want to preface this review by stating that I spent 5 years waitressing at an upscale restaurant and have the utmost respect for servers and restaurant employees alike. With that comes some first-hand knowledge of the "behind the scenes" basics of how an eatery runs on a busy night. We walked over to the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery... More

We had a great lunch the day after Ironman 2014. It was pouring rain outside and the Pub was pouring non-stop inside. Each of the beers we tried were very good. We moved to our table in the restaurant and we all enjoyed the fare. It's a great place for my taste and not bad on the purse. If it... More

We needed a table for eight (five adults and three kids) so it took about 20-30 minutes to get seated inside. (We wanted outside, but that would have been even longer.) We enjoyed beer or soda in the meantime and the kids played games outside and explored the three floors of the restaurant/bar, which includes a children's playroom on the... More
