Wanted a casual night out and chose the Pub - and glad we did. Loved it so much we went back a second night. First night we split the Pulled Pork Nachos which were phenomenal. Huge portion loaded with pork, cheese and numerous vegetables. One of the best nachos ever experienced - so big and filling we had dessert and... More

The food is great and Ubu is always a winner. I have been here many times and never had a bad meal. Parking can be tricky

We got Maibock at the bar, enjoyed the terrace on the 3rd floor while waiting for our table on the 2nd floor outside deck. Delicious salmon and burgers. Great service. Great (reasonable) tab.

Pub experience to be sure. Great beers, good pub food and wonderful bartender and patrons. This is what make brewpubs so enjoyable. Try the UBU ale....

We visited after a 4 hour hike & 1.5 hour walk and were appropriately hungry & thirsty. The Ubu Ale really hit the spot! Highly refreshing and a great pick-me-up. The Imperial Ale is a close second. The food is decent: good portions, well spiced veggie burgers, & good soups. The maple & pear pizza was average but the crust... More

Best burger I've had in a long time. I ordered the Schulzy burger - it was prepared exactly the way I requested and it was absolutely delicious. French fries were seasoned just right. A great experience. Will be a definite destination on our next trip to the north country.

Great food. Stopped in twice for lunch. Highly recommend the Flatbreads! Great options for seating inside or outside. Outside seating overlooks Mirror Lake.

Seriously, they have the best cheese plate. I am not digging the fries, the loaded pub style fries had huge diced chunks of fresh tomato and raw onion scattered over very thick battered fries. Blue cheese is included and hot sauce. The dish was not cohesive. The cheese plate however I get every time and it has been the best... More

Expensive and average food. Turkey dinner was not good. Asked for dark meat but got factory white turkey meat. My companion had the eggplant parmigiana. She described it as from a freezer package. This restaurant looked to be fairly popular, probably a good place for house brew and hamburgers.

Ubuman, Owner at Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, responded to this review

Hello John - sorry to hear you did not enjoy the Pub's food. Not that it changes your experience, but your comments have helped us in our server training for future guests. For example, we only roast the turkey breast for our hot turkey sandwiches, so there is no dark meat available. Your server should have known that and let... More
