We took our friends here because they like beer a lot, and they liked it because the place knows how to do beer. Other than the beer there is very little reason to go here. You can get much better lake views elsewhere, and you can get better food just about anywhere. It is all about beer, but I guess... More

My husband and ate lunch here at the recommendation of an employee at the hotel we stayed at. The outdoor decks have a beautiful view of Mirror Lake and the surrounding mountains. The staff were OK, not overly helpful or friendly. The dining area inside was a typical bar. I had a salad, the greens were fresh, the pear was... More

We first stopped by the pub just to try the local beer. I really enjoyed the Ubu and the Nippletop Stout. We went back the next day for lunch. The place was packed for a Sunday, but we enjoyed a nice seat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive, and I was please to see some different beer on... More

We stopped by for dinner since we were staying next door at the Hampton Inn and didn't want to fight the traffic in town to find parking. Hotel staff recommended it - we loved the food. I thought the menu had some unique offerings that were tasty and everyone in the family was able to find something they liked. The... More

In the realm of pub breweries this was pretty typical. It was huge with three floors of picnic table style tables and a small bar on each. The brews on tap were really very good. We tried the nachos which were ok and the pretzels, the food honestly was lacking as far as what we ate but there were some... More

This is the only restaurant in Lake Placid we went to that had a wait time (30-40 minutes). Especially since it's not even on the main strip (i.e. the hustle and bustle of Main Street), we took that to be a good sign, and it most certainly was. The six of us each ordered something different, and every dish was... More

We stopped for one of their award winning micro-brews, very tasty. The food we saw going by our table looked very good too. There are three levels with the 2nd and 3rd floor having outside seating and there is a view of Mirror Lake. I'll have a meal next time.

I can't say enough good things about this place. My wife and I used to live in LP, but moved away some years ago to CO. But everyone we come back to visit upstate NY, we always make a special trip back to LP and the Pub. The food is excellent for a pub (especially the spicey honey garlic wings)... More

The LPP&B is a multi-level establishment centered on the enjoyment of.....beer! We enjoyed a light dinner of wings and salad. The server went out of his way to extra items I requested be included in my salad - thanks. The noise level was a bit on the high side, but that's what you get on a Thursday night at 7pm.

This was a really nice place to drink a couple of selfbrewn beers on the terrace, the visitors where friendly and the ale was good
