Don't Miss This Place

You see this place from Rt.209 highway but it's a little confusing to get to but well worth the effort. The place is run by a older couple and their son, a Culinary Institute graduate, is the cook. The wife and I started out with the one dozen clams in garlic and wine sauce with toasted... read more

Fred's Place is one of those places I always go when I want to be sure to have a great meal. It's now run by his son, but the quality has remained very high, if not better than it was. I hate to say it's better, because it was great when Fred and Cindy ran it. And, in my opinion,... More

Had dinner recently. Food was excellent. Each of the 4 of us had a different entree, and all were cooked to perfection. The bread was fresh and homemade. The deserts were so good that we ordered addition items to take home.

We find our selves going there so often as nothing in the area compares to the great fresh food and value, and be sure to finish off with the large selection of gourmet desserts.

Have eaten here many times, but it is so out of the way, we forget it's here. Cynthia and Fred always make us feel welcome. The food is very good and the portions are large. So many choices on the menu. Drinks are good as well. Service is friendly. We enjoy coming here.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and I wish we had come here sooner! The menu has a lot of enticing choices, both seafood and Italian. I ordered the citrus glazed salmon and it was perfect. My husband loved his fillet of sole francese and we raved over the desserts. We shared the chocolate s'more tort and ordered another dessert... More

Excellent food, great family restaurant atmosphere. We have enjoyed several meals at Fred's and the food has been consistently outstanding. You also get a great value here, with their prices a tad bit below typical Kingston priced restaurant fare. Worth the detour off route 209 for sure..Al

Fred's Place is a wonderful place to have an excellent meal that you will thoroughly enjoy. The food is extremely fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. We have been here several times and we have never been disappointed. It is so refreshing to find a restaurant where the food can be prepared to order. If you want something a certain way,... More

We go to Fred's Place all the time and are never disappointed with the food or the service. It is culinary quality food that is beautifully presented. Recently we chose to have our wedding reception there on site. They have an upstairs to the restraunt dedicated for events with its own kitchen, bar and staff. We still have our guests... More

This little out of the way place is well worth the trip off the beaten path. Over the years Fred's place has become one of my favorite places in the Kingston area, less then 5 min from the malls and 10 from city center. The food is always great my favorite is the eggroll of the week you never know... More
