Six of us were looking for a place to get a bite to eat on a recent Friday evening. Since half of the group was from the Boston area, they recommended we try John Harvard's. Since we were on Long Island for a wedding, we weren't looking for any four-five course dinners since we knew we were going to have... More

Tried it for the first time and pleasantly surprised. We had the chicken pot pie and the grilled meatloaf and they were both excellent. Wide varieties of beer that were great and our waiter provided us with samples of a couple of them so we could get what suited us. As for the waiter.... We had Earnest and he was... More

I was a guest there for a High School Graduation Brunch and was very impressed with the food menu and and the micro-brew menu. Both had a good selection. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the outside area. While we were there it was a little slow and the wait staff were kept busy cleaning... More

John Harvard's used to be my Cheers. This was 16 year ago when it first opened. We went a few times a week. Then it started to go downhill and we stopped going. After many years we heard they were under new management and decided to give it another try. We went for dinner. I had the grilled meatloaf, served... More

I love how I go to a BREWERY on a Saturday night and they are out of 3 beers! They only brew 9 beers! So you're out of 1/3? That's great! The half price apps and pints after 10 are good though.

Had some great filet and a nice porter. Burgers were good. Decorated nicely and a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

They make a great espresso beer that I really enjoy. But my favorite beer is the Pumpkin Spice Beer. They really make this the best with cinnamon and sugar around the rim of your frozen glass. It is a must have. As I mentioned in the title the food is nothing special.

The Food is Good but not great. Never got a bad dinner or lunch but never got anything memorable. They need to invest in some updating and new furniture. Many of the booth's have taped up seating. They get a good bar crowd and the beer brewed on the premises is amazing, probably one of the best brews on Long... More

Love the menu selections. The chicken dish with vegetables is always a favorite, prepared a bit different depending on the season. the meatloaf is amazing, really have enjoyed everything we've eaten here. The beer descriptions and servers help make it easy and fun to try new flavors. We eat here whenever we are in the neighborhood. I only wish it... More
