Lovely brunch and Nice Service

We found this lovely place on Yelp. At first it didn't seem like it would be promising, but we took outdoor seating, enjoyed the small buffet and our meal. The lobster bisque was exquisite. We loved this quiet, lovely and friendly place.

We were visiting from out of state and got back into town an hour after food had stopped being served. Muriel & Rich offered to make us burgers (plus homemade cole slaw and soup) and were extremely friendly. The food was great too--and excellent decor!

If you like a cozy ambience, this is the place. If you like people that just want to get to know you, where you're from, and wanna listen to "your story" this is the place. If you like affordable entertainment, great homemade food(the owners live on the premises) and affordable libations, this is the place. I'm a person who appreciates... More

Stayed in Diamond point just down the road, read reviews and was reluctant to go, however the other place we want to go was closed. We were pleasantly surprised the food was fresh and tasted home cooked. I had the chicken marsala which had generous side portions of vegetables. My boyfriend had the half rack of ribs which was perfectly... More

I should've known when our host at our resort said The Rain Tree was "Ok". We dined on Thursday night, after we had dropped our bags off at our resort. We didn't want to go all the way down to LG Village so we chose this which we passed on our drive in. It's a large space, with ample parking,... More

We have been going to the Rain Tree for years. We start our vacation and end our vacation with dinner and drinks at the restaurant. It's a great place for a family gathering. Their pizza is awesome and their clams are great too. We have used them for catering parties while up at the lake. They coordinated everything with me... More

This sleepy restaurant is not worth the time or money considering all of the many choices close by. We went early...around 5:30 and the place was virtually empty. The service was slow by any standard. We ordered a burger and a pork chop. Not rocket science. The meals were edible. The atmosphere is dull. There are so many choices in... More

We had a hard time deciding where to go out for our 'farewell to Lake George" dinner, and finally decided on the Rain Tree, a family owned restaurant on Lakeshore Drive, about 5 minutes from Lake George village. It sits high up and gives you a nice view of the lake from either the open or glassed in porch dining... More

Waited 20 minutes to get no service. the owner told us that all rose wines tasted the same, she had obviously been sampling most of them before coming to our table. They were not very busy in the end we left and went a bit further along the lake to Diamond Point Grill which gave us excellent service and food.... More

Friendly, chef owned dining run by a family who not only lives upstairs but truly cares. They always have time to talk to you, tell jokes or let you know how pleased they are to see. You. Better than average pizza, pasta disheds and salads. Great. Cozy atmosphere.
