Good place for casual food

We came here in the middle of winter. You have to walk through the bar (which was very crowded) to get to the dining area. Nothing fancy here, but the food is reasonable and good. I had the beer battered shrimp basket. Came with cole slaw and french fries. My husband got the haddock fish fry. Both... read more

Docksider is a great find and a short ride from town of Lake George. Couple miles south at a beautiful little lake called Glen Lake. The staff are charming, decor the same and entire atmosphere always so welcoming and warm. There are buy one entree, get one half off entrees that come with an appetizer, bread. Very affordable for families... More

The summer season is over but if you want a relaxing casual view of the lake sit on the enclosed patio with heaters to eat. Service and food okay but views were nice and relaxing and worth the stop. Had a salad and appetizer of coconut shrimp. Another had a veggie burger that was good. Fries not crisp. Good

We met friends here and had a nice dinner on the deck overlooking the lake (wait time about 25 minutes). The food was good with a nice selection of local beers on tap. The parking lot was very busy so you might have to be patient for a spot to open up.

We dined at this restaurant with a group of 8, which included two children. We did have to wait for a table outside, but we were able to purchase cocktails and hang by the lake until our table was ready. The atmosphere was charming, wich patio lights and a casual, calm vibe. When our table was ready, our server greeted... More

We decided to try this place after receiving recommendation from a friend. It began with a 15 minute wait at the Hostess station as server after server looked our way and walked by. No one mentioned that anyone would be right over, no greeting, nothing. Not one of the workers tried to assist the hostess. When the woman did come... More

We have been coming into this area for years. Have always seen the Docksider and aware of their connection to Rachael Ray, but there is always a crowd so we thought we would finally try it. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was watery and flavorless. The corn on the cob, the special veggie must have sat in a pot for days.... More

Third time to this restaurant because we love the view, but our meals were horrible. Don't mind the slow service because you have the lake to look at, but come on, get a better cook! Burger that was rare came out well done, crab cakes were burnt black on one side and uncooked and mushy on other side. Roast beef... More

Started by having to wait 25 minutes for a table even though once we were seated I counted six empty tables around us but that was ok because they did tell us that there would be a 20 minute wait for a table. What they didn't tell us is that we would have to wait another 15 minutes before a... More

The restaurant is located in a very nice lakeside setting. We had a pleasant wait for a table. We thought that the parking lot being full was a good sign. Not so. We both had a less than average meal. The menu seemed to be limited to mostly pub food and there seemed to be too many offerings for them... More
