Quaint local hangout

Went to the Docksider in March. Right on Glen Lake, probably gorgeous in the summer! A quaint, stuck in the 1970s kind of place bar obviously a locals favorite with a good selection of local beers. Food inexpensive. We had some steamers, which were tender and only $6.a dozen! Also had a... read more

We had lunch at the Docksider for the first time and we know we will be back. Great, casual meal right by the water, with friendly service. My daughter had the burger. It looked amazing! I had the cod fish fry special. It was very good.

It took forever for food (sandwich, soup) to come. All tables around us who came after us ate and left but we were still waiting, for an hour. Waitress was impatient and rude when we asked if food was ready. Scenery is nice but not good if you are very hungry. Disappointing and bad experience.

Went there on a Sunday, waited over an hour, service and kitchen were very slow. Took another hour to get a scallop basket with 4 scallops and cold fries. Nice view but that's all that was nice.

We came here in the middle of winter. You have to walk through the bar (which was very crowded) to get to the dining area. Nothing fancy here, but the food is reasonable and good. I had the beer battered shrimp basket. Came with cole slaw and french fries. My husband got the haddock fish fry. Both were fried without... More

Docksider is a great find and a short ride from town of Lake George. Couple miles south at a beautiful little lake called Glen Lake. The staff are charming, decor the same and entire atmosphere always so welcoming and warm. There are buy one entree, get one half off entrees that come with an appetizer, bread. Very affordable for families... More

The summer season is over but if you want a relaxing casual view of the lake sit on the enclosed patio with heaters to eat. Service and food okay but views were nice and relaxing and worth the stop. Had a salad and appetizer of coconut shrimp. Another had a veggie burger that was good. Fries not crisp. Good

We met friends here and had a nice dinner on the deck overlooking the lake (wait time about 25 minutes). The food was good with a nice selection of local beers on tap. The parking lot was very busy so you might have to be patient for a spot to open up.

We dined at this restaurant with a group of 8, which included two children. We did have to wait for a table outside, but we were able to purchase cocktails and hang by the lake until our table was ready. The atmosphere was charming, wich patio lights and a casual, calm vibe. When our table was ready, our server greeted... More

We decided to try this place after receiving recommendation from a friend. It began with a 15 minute wait at the Hostess station as server after server looked our way and walked by. No one mentioned that anyone would be right over, no greeting, nothing. Not one of the workers tried to assist the hostess. When the woman did come... More
