It took 15 minutes to get a soft drink after being told to find a table for ourselves. And we had to flag someone down and get their attention before being noticed by the staff. The food was also very poor, stale and cheaply created. It was like food from a high school cafeteria.

Although the Docksider previously provided our family with good times and good food, the service has faltered over time. Our last visit had an excruciating wait (20 min) without explanation despite multiple tables being open without a party. Then, after ordering, our drinks took 10 minutes to get to us and our food took good to an hour. Once we... More

As a local, I have been to this restaurant many time with family and friends. The location is wonderful. The view of the lake and shoreline is great. However, the bully who runs this restaurant is the reason not to go. Constructive criticism is not well received and will get you barked at and feeling small for daring to say... More

I came here last week and had the fish which was good when I first had it. Tonight I decided to order it again (bad decision) and it tasted a bit off, well more than off but this is not the point. I politely told my waiter that I was dissatisfied with the food, which he handled well and explained... More

We have been going to the Docksider for years, and I really want to tell you it is 'great'. The setting is really nice. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food is more than acceptable. So why do I rate it as "POOR" ? Because the service is messed up! I understand and accept that during... More

The Docksider is a hidden gem on the shore of Glen Lake, which is a small lake near the bigger tourist attraction of Lake George. The locals will likely be annoyed I am letting you all in on it. Price is right, food is okay, but the big draw is the outside patio next to a quiet lake . Beautiful... More

I am a local and have tried the Docksider over and over again for many years. Every time I decide to go, I give them the benefit of the doubt and think that it will be better than the last time. Every time, I am proven to be right and am always disappointed in my experience. First of all, there... More

Ordered take-out pizza special last night ... 2 pizzas, wings, and soda for $24.95. Use to be really good but when we got home, one of the pizzas was burnt, the bases were like cardboard, and the cheese topping was sparse. I use to love their pizzas but someone has changed the recipe. Pizza from a grocery store would have... More
