I remembered this place as Smokey Joe's from last year and was surprised to see the name change. The owner has a sign out indicationg it is the same as last year and same owner/operator. The new name is Gaslight Bar & Grill. It's still operated by the same very concientious couple. From the moment you walk in the place... More

Now called Gaslight Pub, new sign but same owner and staff. The ares best fall off the bone melt in your mouth ribs and pulled pork! So no fear you'll still be pleased with the food and service.

My husband and I went here last September during our 'mini-moon' to Lake George. We were there during the off-season for Lake George so the amount of restaurants open after 5 were limited. We were really happy we stumbled upon Smokey Joe's because the ribs were phenomenal. My husband is very picky with his ribs and he claims these are... More

Went out to dinner with a group of 14. They were able to accommodate us with reservations to make it easier. No wait to be seated. Overall the food was great, but the service a little slow. Was a Saturday night and the place seemed a bit short staffed. Would go back with a smaller group based on the quality... More

Overall not bad BBQ. Not up to the caliber you will find in heavy BBQ Regions (like NC) but pretty good. We went in off-season and they had a big advantage in that they were actually open. I decided to go with the ribs. The sauce was good though a tad on the sweet side. The meat was fall off... More

Get the ribs - you won't be disappointed! Food is delicious, service is friendly and prices are reasonable for what you get. Definitely will be back next time we're in town. Recommend the Bear Naked Ale - brewed a few doors down from the restaurant. It's really yummy!

Had dinner here on mini-vaca in October. Although most of Lake George was a complete ghost town, Smokey Joe's was open and bustling. Service was good...only 1 waiter and 1 bartender on staff. Ordered BBQ sandwich which was delish...bun was buttery, cole slaw was tasty and applesauce was appley! Also had pulled pork/rib platter with sweet potato fries...pulled pork was... More

Enjoyed a lunch here with a few friends in October, as the town was shifting into hibernation mode (McDonalds was already closed for the season). Delicious puled pork, delicious sweet potato fries and a delicious glass of Saratoga Ale. Only one waiter at the time, so he was working hard, and he made us happy.

Seated quickly. As soon as we pulled up our chairs, a bowl of popcorn was served. We had the sweet potato fries as a starter with drinks, and the corn bread was tasty. My wife is an aficianado of ribs and said that her dinner was outstanding. I had the pulled pork platter : super sauce. Can't complain about small... More

My steak was cooked perfectly I ordered the one with jack Daniels sauce on it which was great. My husband got chicken and ribs and while he enjoyed the ribs he said the chicken was awful. The staff was great, food came out fast, and the atmosphere was very fitting for the Adirondacks. Would eat there again.
