We have never been disappointed with a meal at the Bowery Dugout. We stopped in today for lunch and the ruben was fantastic, the service was excellent. When in Kingston, stop for lunch at a locally owned restaurant. You will want to return again and again.

I have been eating at The Bowery Dugout for a number of years now and I have never been disappointed by the food or the service. They serve the biggest, freshest oysters on the half shell. Their blue cheese dressing is amazing. And when soft shell crabs are in season...delicious! I can't say enough about this wonderful place!

Went there for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised! The place was super busy and yet the wait staff were up beat and super friendly! Portion size was good, seafood was fresh, and food was served in a timely manner. Nice place to go for fresh seafood at decent prices!

A Kingston treasure. Not much on the outside, but good food on hte inside. Well prepared, large protions and wonderful service. Since I love lobstere, I can call ahead to reserve large lobster and it is always prepared to perfection (I like mine steamed). As for mypersonal recommendation, I always ask for Beth as my server, as she is a... More

The Dugout has the best seafood around! Consistent great food, great service. The perfect special occasion restaurant as well as just a nice place to go eat. Reasonable prices, the best blue cheese dressing (homemade!) and lobsters. Great homemade ice cream for dessert too from a local shop! Highly, highly recommend!

Very generous portions of very good food. Heavy seafood influence with attentive service. Lunch is only in the downstairs area making access to restrooms tricky.

We haven't been here in years and thought we would try dinner tonight. The broiled seafood combo was average at best. The haddock was overcooked and mushy and the scallops were like shoe leather. The sundried dressing was from a bottle i think, definitely not freshly made.

I have been going to The Dugout for more years than I care to remember, but I have never ever had anything but the best seafood. I no longer live year round in the area, and in fact live in a coastal area in S.C., where seafood is fresh every day. Still, when it comes to soft shelled crabs, The... More

We have been here many times. They always heave the freshest seafood around. They start you off with garlic bread and a celery/carrot plate with house made ranch dressing. Nice little treat before the meal. The oysters either on the half shell or fried are great, as is their chowders and calamari. The house made blue cheese dressing might just... More
