We haven't been here in years and thought we would try dinner tonight. The broiled seafood combo was average at best. The haddock was overcooked and mushy and the scallops were like shoe leather. The sundried dressing was from a bottle i think, definitely not freshly made.

I have been going to The Dugout for more years than I care to remember, but I have never ever had anything but the best seafood. I no longer live year round in the area, and in fact live in a coastal area in S.C., where seafood is fresh every day. Still, when it comes to soft shelled crabs, The... More

Fresh seafood, delicious homemade salad dressings, Manhattan Clam Chowder- as good as "mom's" and the Best desserts ever! We prefer eating Upstairs. HUGE Lunch menu.

We have been here many times. They always heave the freshest seafood around. They start you off with garlic bread and a celery/carrot plate with house made ranch dressing. Nice little treat before the meal. The oysters either on the half shell or fried are great, as is their chowders and calamari. The house made blue cheese dressing might just... More

went here for dinner in december of 2013. were seated downstairs which is like eating in a dark basement. atmosphere, not so great but the food is good, prices are similar to most restaurants in kingston. i would recommend the bowery dugout to eat but would rather sit upstairs where it has a nicer atmosphere.

This is my family's choice spot when it comes to birthdays or get togethers. I've never left unsatisfied. Good food, great atmosphere, and the staff is always super friendly! We will definitely continue going back for more.

We enjoyed a very good Early Bird Special meal for fifteen dollars ($15.00) each that included soup, salad, the entree, dessert, and coffee or tea. They even had decaffeinated herbal teas available! Wow! My compliments to the cook, and my thank you to the owner for this delicious meal that was so reasonable. I will notify my friends also.

Stopped in on a suggestion. Should have stopped earlier. What a great menu..and I was there on "raw" night. Clams, oysters, mussels, clams and calamari. Absolutely delicious. Also had a bowl of New England Clam Chowder....equally delicious. And the staff is friendly, fun and make you feel at home. Ya gotta stop!

We just returned from an awesome dinner at The Bowery. Everything from the apps to the desserts were excellent. I personally had the Steak Au Poivre, it was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Others at our table really enjoyed their Zuppa dishes and lobster dishes. The service was great too; our waitress was very attentive but not pushy. I really... More

We had a chance to have dinner at the Bowery Dugout today, and both our meals were fabulous. The service was top shelf, and we highly recommend that everyone try this well respected dining spot out! I had the shrimp and scallop Luis- with a side of cole slaw. The salad was delicious- no iceberg lettuce here.. and Bruce's homemade... More
