My fiancé and I attended the Hoffman House for a late dinner in hopes to have a future dinner party there. We saw so many glowing recommendations about this place, we were so excited to try it yet we were kinda disappointed. The ambiance was pleasant and the service was friendly, but the prices were a bit steep. For what... More

The Hoffman House is the place to go if you’re looking for an upper level of dining. It’s not fine dining, but it’s one of the better places around Kingston. My wife and I have sat in all locations here, both during winter and summer. During the summer, we eat outside if it’s not too hot. During the winter there... More

Located in an historic building, Hoffman House is worth visiting if only for the architecture. We were seated on the back patio, a very pleasant setting. Indoors it was kind of noisy; people at the bar were having a good time, but I don't think I'd have wanted to dine in there. The menu offered many selections. The wine list... More

While on a vacation trip to the Catskill Mountains we stopped overnight in Kingston and were pleasantly surprised when we found a restaurant as good as Hoffman House. Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced but the ambiance of this historic home helped to make dinner a very pleasant experience. It was by far the best meal that... More

We came in to get dinner later in the evening so we ordered take-out. The waitress was exceptional, she thought to ask if we were staying in a hotel (we were) and brought us silverware and drink carriers. The food was good as well, so we'll be back the next time we're in the area!

This Inn/Restaurant is a National Historic Landmark over 300 years old, which was lovingly restored by a young couple in 1975 & reopened in 1977. The charming atmosphere of old wood décor (floors & beamed ceilings) is like being transported back in time. Food is always top notch, as is the wine selection by the glass or the bottle. I... More

We had read the reviews and looked at the menu before we went for our anniversary dinner. However, we didn't feel that the restaurant lived up to our expectations. Our food was good, but nothing special. The service was very good, and the restaurant itself was very cozy and charming. We had a nice dinner, but I think we were... More

I go here often in the warm weather because I like the patio so much. The inside is very cozy too in the winter with a fireplace. For lunch I always order the same thing, French Dip. It is the best in the area. However the menu is diverse.

had dinner here recently and i am never disappointed with my meals. their food is very good and their prices are about the same as most restaurants in Kingston. they have a covered outdoor patio which is nice to sit at in the warmer weather. My wife loves the Hoffman House as well.
