Very small space with a tight staff provide a hip vibe for the best food in the region. Small plates of well conceived and prepared dishes make Elephant my go-to place in the Hudson valley when I want to relax on my own or impress visitors with reliably delicious food. Great imagination and execution goes into each dish here. Although... More

hands down, one of my all time fave places to eat. ANYTHING on the menu is melt in your mouth, from the stuffed peppers to the tacos el pastor, to the daily fish special....It is a culinary treat, and the atmosphere is great too--dark and stormy. It is not a huge place, so it wouldn't be the best place for a big... More

The food here is so good it will have you thinking about it for days. It is addictive. Best food for miles and stands out in the crowd.

went out for dinner with friends last night to a new restaurant, Elephant, in nearby Kingston, NY. They serve tapas, beer and wine. We felt instantly welcome and at home, seated at one of the tables near the open kitchen. It's a small place but there's a great bar, a number of small tables and room for lounging or setting... Our food was excellent! They actually prepare the food on hot plates in their kitchen. Its a cute, little, laid back spot in uptown Kingston. I would definitely return.

Tapas gone wild. Really spectacular! Incredible fusion of farm to table meats and cheeses. Outstanding service. Excellent wine by the glass selections. If you are in Kingston, you have to give it a go. Chorizo and chocolate? Huh? It works! Pickled Portuguese Peppers - we fought over the last one. Too many small plates to review, but suffice to say,... More

Love that the menu has a great variety of options. Portions are tapas like, but enough to share. 4 of us ordered 10 things and it was perfect amount. Some things we liked better than others, but that is the fun of sampling. The chef takes great care with preparation, that is obvious. Space is cramped, wine list is good!

We shared a few yummy dishes and there was a decent wine list. I had a Malbec that hit the spot. My only complaint was the dessert menu was a little lacking.

This tiny gem of a restaurant tucked away in charming uptown Kingston is one of our favorite dining destinations. Anything you order from the ever-changing tapas menu is sure to delight. This past weekend we shared small plates of snails on toast, delectable roasted bone marrow, sausage with white beans and perfectly spiced lamb meatballs with a dollop of whipped... More

As someone who spends most of their time in a restaurant, the last thing I want to do is go to one after I leave work. In this area I have gotten bored with standard menus and the items on them are things that I can just whip up and home. My partner and I have been going to the... More
