My family and I went for the lunch buffet one day. It was my son's first taste of Indian food and he loved it. Friendly staff and prices aren't high.

This family run Indian restaurant has authentic Indian food which is absolutely delicious. The menu is extensive and you can choose the heat level. Service is always very good. Have had dinner here about 20 times and tried many different dishes..everything was great.

I've read the other reviews and have to agree totally with those who say that the food is very good. The atmosphere is minimal with some Indian posters and pictures, but here the focus is a nice, simple hot-food buffet lunch for around $8! The Saag Paneer is heavenly as is the Tandoori chicken. I have been going to this... More

Love this place and my favorite. The food tastes so much better than others I have tried. Lunch Buffet is every day and Tuesday is the Dinner Buffet. The best way to try a variety of food at one time. I will not go anywhere else!!!!

Very family friendly, and the food is simply the best, period. It's always fresh, and the flavors are consistent. We have been to other Indian restaurants and the problem is, the food is not always the same. Star of India is always good so if you love the chicken makhani, you can be sure next time you go it will... More

I found this place by accident and I am glad I found it. Their food is very tasty. My husband's favorite meal is Lamb Polak and I like everything. What is great about this place is that you can order Hot, Medium or Mild which is great for people like me who can't eat spicy food but love to try... More

Let's just get something out of the way before I start my praises of Star of India: Yes, if you drive 90 minutes north to the lovely city of Toronto, there are significantly more choices for fine Indian dining, some of which would blow this restaurant out of the water. Alas, however, we are talking about Buffalo, not Toronto, not... More

This may well be the best Indian food in Buffalo, but that doesn't make it pleasant to eat or worth the money. I really think they need a kick up the but and a rethink. Some fresh oil and some fresh cooking would help. Indian food at its best isn't days old stew with tasteless sauce, it is fesh, spicy... More

Friendly service, and always always excellent food. Have eaten in, taken out, and taken many people including my boss ahd her boss here. Looks like a hole in the wall, and ambiance is not the focus. Food is. Inexpensive, convenient, and tasty. Family owned and operated, and they are on the premises all the time.

My husband and I get take out from them at least twice a month. The food is always tasty, the service is always fast and friendly, and its very reasonable. The decor is a little odd but hey we don't go there for the ambience. The buffet is okay. The takeout is much better.
