We stopped in for lunch and it definitely wasn't what I remembered. For starters, the soup of the day wasn't soup, it was stew. I ordered the veggie burger, the fries were good however the burger was microwaved instead of fried which meant it was just a patty of mush, the bun was still frozen so that didn't help. The... Neat little place with a wood stove, just what you want on a winter day. My wife had the Dartbrook chicken sandwich and was very happy with it, and I had the pulled pork special which was great too. If you have a kid, the grilled cheese sandwich was awesome and only $4. Just don't go to the ADK market... More

I agree with many of the reviewers that the food here is very good. I just don't think it warrants the prices they charge and I hate the fact that you have to use a credit card. I'm not suggesting that you don't eat here, I just want you to be aware of what you will find.

We visited this spot several times on our stay and had great experiences. The espresso drinks exceeded our expectations. As good as you'd find in an urban setting. The baked goods were great. The molasses cookies are addictive and we ended up taking two of their caraway rye breads home with us because they were so good. Great for hearty... More

We loved that ADK aims to use locally sourced ingredients. The menu was varied and our food was delicious. We had margaritas, the meatloaf and lasagna - all excellent!

I'm not the type to write restaurant reviews but the ADK merits just that. This place is my pit stop in and out of Placid. Have the French toast for breakfast, the reuben or white bean sandwich for lunch and the Caesar salad along with the lasagna for dinner. All my all time favorites. The service can be a little... We were just passing through and discovered this gem! The food was out of this world...homemade everything. Our table of 4 all tried different items and were all extremely impressed. Must stop here in this cute little town!!

Have you ever had perfect pulled pork? The texture is tender---not stringy, not mush. And what you taste is perfectly seasoned pork--not a super sweet and overpowering bbq sauce or some similar concoction. But if you want perfectly prepared and seasoned pulled pork...ADK. Now it was a special, so I don't know if you'll be lucky enough to see it... More

Food was good, local. Beer, also good, also local. Price, pretty much what you would expect to pay pretty much anywhere. Service was good.

ADK, an acronym for the Adirondacks area, also stands for "a delicious kitchen", and the praise is justified. Set in lovely Keene, near the river, this place is wonderful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, and there is a bakery component as well (try the muffins--trust us). We happened upon it for lunch, and wow! The veggie soup was fantastic... More
