This is a great find in the tiny town of Keene. Well prepared healthy food. Outdoor seating with mountain view. Service can be slow but likely depends on the server not the place. Baked goods and attached shop are excellent. Definitely worth a stop.

We got take-out lunch from here, to enjoy by the river. I had the free-range chicken salad sandwich (with spinach on cafe whole grain bread). The bread was outstanding, and the chicken salad was very filling. One of the ladies was constantly bringing out trays of fresh made bread. They also had pies and other baked goodies on the counter... More

We have been here many times. Each time is a gamble. We were extremely reluctant to return to ADK Cafe after our last experience: The couple next to us was given their check before their entrees came out (never seen that before or since), and we wound up walking out after a 45 minute wait just for someone to take... We wish we had time to eat dinner here, but stopped in for a quick drink and a bite. They had a nice maple cocktail and a hot chocolate drink with irish creme. We had a tapas plate with cheese, bread, veggies, dips, it was really nice.

Went there for breakfast and lunch. Best French toast ever! Food is fresh, organic and well prepared. Must pay by credit card or debit card!

We have visited ADK cafe a number of times and have always had great experiences. As other reviewers comment, the emphasis here in on locally sourced food and produce, simply and wonderfully prepared. They offer a great beer list too. The staff is extremely welcoming and attentive. It is always a pleasure to return.

Great restaurant right on the road in Keene, a quick trip from Lake Placid - and much better than almost every restaurant we have tried there (and we have been to most). There breakfasts are particularly superb, with gloriously fluffy french toast and pancakes, and fresh organic eggs and whole grain toast. I was less impressed with hard-core meats (I... More

Food is fresh, local and excellent. A simple place, no fuss, helpful and they al seemed to care about what they were doing. Good beers, skip the wines.

On our getaway to the Adirondacks for a week of R&R and motorcycling in the mountains, we were introduced to the wonderful cafe in the heart of Keene. French toast to die for! Don't pass this place by!

What a great find...wholesome, organic, prepared from scratch....Cobb salad was excellent although I would like to see lettuces torn into smaller pieces. The French fries are to die for, fresh potatoes, handcut with some black pepper and sea salt.... Salmon was delicious, bread home made, peach pie was fabulous....nice little bakery to take home some fresh bread or pies
