Very good

We went here with my inlaws. Service was very good and the food also. We had the eggplant with the pine nuts and pesto and I had the duck legs. Those were really good. I had the pasta special which was bow ties in a cream sauce I added chicken, the rest got the shrimp and pasta dishes... read more

Excellent food, nice ambiance with great service at fair prices. Be sure to try the fried brie, bruchetta, burgers and shrimp pasta.

My wife and I ate there this week. She had fried Brie for an appetizer and chicken Toulouse as the main course. I had a bowl of Manhattan clam chowder and a Jamesport burger. The Brie was very good as was the chowder. My wife said the sandwich was ok but needed more mayonnaise. She never tasted the bacon. My... More

We had a great dinner at this cute, unassuming little place. Everything was tasty and made with good quality food. We were 3 couples. The two pasta entrees were the best - seafood linguini and spaghetti w sausage in an oil sauce. Good little spot in Jamesport, right on main road. Prices were decent relative to the top 2 trip... Very nice, clean and cozy restaurant. I have to be gluten free and figured I would ask before we sat. We entered and the waitress was at the entrance and I asked you can accommodate gluten free right, well the Chef happen to be standing behind her, she said I can make you almost anything on the menu and I... The Country Kitchen is an excellent choice for lunch when in Jamesport. The prices are reasonable and the food is rather delicious. I will say, the fries are just ok and definitely taste frozen from a package, but if you get their pastas or stir fry plates, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I have been here numerous times over the last 5 years... ourselves, with friends, with family. It is not a fancy place but a very clean and cozy little house converted to a restaurant. It reminds me of a nice B&B. The food is always fresh and varied. Lots of bias to whatever is fresh and in... More

Maybe we came on the wrong day, or our expectations were too high? First surprise as that the County Kitchen does not serve breakfast/brunch. I came in a group of 6 on Sunday around noon. The menu does have some omelets but not many other offerings that you would expect in a country kitchen. Friends said the homemade pesto was great... My wife and I have gone here twice for lunch when we have gone out to the North Fork of Long Island to visit the local wineries. The food is excellent. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is kind of homey. The price is reasonable for the East end. I highly recommend checking this place out.

While in the area this restaurant was recommended by one of the local vintners. What a little gem. They have an awesome wine selection. The menu changes every couple of weeks and is prepared with locally produced products whenever possible. I had the potato corn chowder with a shrimp apple salad.......wonderful! The only complaint I had was the first waitress... More
