I've been hearing about the Elbow Room for 17 years and I FINALLY got to have one of their famous porterhouses. WOW! What a steak. So tender and delicious. Just can't get over how a simple bar can make food like that. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend to anyone on Long Island - worth the drive.

Second time at Cliff's Elbow Room and I can't wait to return. Had the marinated T-bone smothered with onions and mushrooms. Tender and delicious. You cannot beat the steaks. They are outrageous. Saw a few people ordering the surf and turf. I know that the steaks are great, the lobster tails looked delicious. This place is a keeper. Whenever I... More

This is a VERY small place so I would not recommend large parties. They are known for their steaks and rightfully so. Simple, good, American food. Fried finger food apps, steaks, and burgers. I wouldn't stray from these signature items. Seafood not as good...but it's a small bar type place not a seafood restaurant. Can be crowded. Parking is minimal,... More

I hadn't been here in decades until lunch yesterday. The 'lunch' size steak is probably 16 ounces, and I wasn't hungry when I left. The decor is..... well.... .you shouldn't come for the decor. The service is friendly and professional. I don't know why I waited so long to go back

There are 3 restaurants under the same ownership on the east end of LI.. Cliffs rendezvous on main st in river head, the elbow room in jamesport and another in Cutchogue. All serve steaks that are worth the trip! There is a unique marinade / rub they use that make the steaks flavorful and distinctive. The service is hampered by... More

I recently took my family to lunch at the ElbowRoom. I had always gone here when I was young with my parents and being back in town wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. Walking into the restaurant gave me an old familiar feeling. So much looked the same. The tables are close together, the decor... More

When we are out in Riverhead or the Jamesport area, this is always a stop for us! We went to Cliffs two years ago where we decided we were getting married out here. The staff is so friendly and the food is at a reasonable price. I haven't had a bad meal and the steak is out of this world.... More

I grew up in the area & everyone i know has eaten here & loved it, but somehow i never had the chance. My husband & I went this past Saturday night & I'm sorry to say it was just ok. We arrived late, at the end of the dinner rush, so were seated right away, but our table was... More

4th time, love the food! This time we had a party of 6, which I called ahead and made a reservation for, and we waited 35 minutes past our reservation time. Not their fault, they only have 1 or 2 tables that can sit 6+, so we had to wait. No Biggie, just that we were hungry from wine tasting... More
