If you find yourself laying over near JFK, treat yourself to some of the best Italian you will ever have. Great menu (on the wall). Ample portions, family style. Fresh bread and their own wine and you can't beat the service. I always stay at the Hampton Inn (JFK) and for just $14-$15 you can get a town car to... More

Although it's acceptable Italian food, it's not good enough to go out of your way for. Hit or miss with the wait staff as well. I've been there and the server was on the money. I've also visited and the waiter acted like we were an inconvenience. They flatly refuse to give you olive oil to dip your bread in... More

Be hungry because foods aplenty. A large venue 2 miles from JFK AIRPORT and the RESORTS WORLD CASINO at Aquaduct RACETRACK.Food is served family style and waiters have been there for years and are very friendly.Home made wine is excellent as well as the pasta.Prices are reasonable and parking easy.Only drawback is no credit cards accepted-cash only.

For the non-italian americans out there: this is neapolitan-american food. The preparation of this food is not "simple", it is uncomplicated. And they do it right. Not over garlicked; not overly olive oiled. The baked clams properly little necks; pasta with the shrimp marinara al dente; orders big and priced fairly; service better if you tell don't ask. This would... More

And I mean this in the best way possible…mi famiglia!! (hah - I'm not Italian but that's ok - when you are Don Peppe's you may as well be) We were on a one-night lay-over through JFK and had to stay locally to catch our 8 a.m. flight the next day. We arrived on time but had a nasty time... More

We were in between flights and staying at an airport hotel so not expecting much but this restaurant was a highlight of our New York trip. It isn't glitzy but full of atmosphere. Its' family run and the meals are freshly created. Be warned, portions are huge! I loved everything we ordered and the waiters were fun too. Great experience!

The food was good, nothing super special, who doesn't love pasta soaked in olive oil. I was there for work and eating solo. This is a FAMILY STYLE, no exceptions. IT would have been nice if they offered a side salad. I basically ordered a pasta dish for 4. I really wanted a salad but didn't feel like wasting more... More

We had a non remarkable meal there last night. Service was sub par because our being a customer seemed to be inconveniencing our server who seemed to prefer chatting with the other servers who were not providing service to their tables either.

might be a cultural shock for non-new yorkers visiting the city but to experience the real thing go out to Queens and Don Peppe. Two cautions; bring cash and don't over order. The portions will feed four so order a couple dishes and enjoy. The waiters are not your friends but they will take care of you and if your... More
