I live down the street and have visited the place over the years the food and drinks get more expensive and less tasty. Save your money head over to sutphin blvd and eat at one of the Portuguese restaurants there. This establishment is usually filled with locals who go there to drink and play pool on the crooked table in... More

If you are headed to JFK enroute to Lisbon, Porto and points twixt the two, you might save yourself beaucoup bucks by stopping on 101st Avenue in Jamaica for authentic Portuguese cuisine served in generous quantities to wash down with some sangria while listening to the haunting strains of Fado. A great deal all around.

Excellent food, friendly knowledgeable service. I have been here several times and not once been disappointed. The fish and steaks are cooked to perfection. The sangria and tapas are delicious and at a reasonable price.

Came here with a group of 9 people. They were very accommodating as we originally told them we had 6 people and they were able to add an extra table so that all of us could fit comfortably. There were also a huge party that night that took up half their dining space. Good thing we came earlier because we... More

My husband and I recently spent the night at an airport hotel in JFK. As we arrived early enough in the evening we decided to check trip advisor for nearby restaurants rather than eat in the hotel's cafe. We had a drink at the hotel bar whilst waiting for our cab and when we mentioned where we were going to... More

Every visit we gave totally enjoyed our meal. Tasty sangria complements the professionally prepared meals here. We have had chcken, fish, and rice dishes and never been disappointed. Reasonably priced and ample portions. Enjoy their hone made deserts too.

Had lunch here on the way to JFK. The food was great!! The waitress was wonderful. She explained all the different choices. Good good, good sangria, an all around good choice of restaurant.

When you enter the doors of O Lavrador you are in for a treat. The food is outstanding and servers are friendly, polite and very thorough. They have a parking lot, but sometimes it fills up quickly. O Lavrador is sort of out of the way for some people who are not familiar with the area. It is worth the... More

Having seen the very good reviews of the restaurant when staying on the edge of Jamaica we thought the place had a lovely mediterrenean feel about it. However although we had booked it was the evening of Mothers Day and the restaurant was very busy.We had to wait quite a while for our table and the service was a bit... More

I visited this restaurant on a recent Sunday evening. From the outside it looks like many other Spanish style places in Queens. Once inside, we were greeted immediately by the staff and escorted to a table. This place is warm and friendly. The staff is very attentive to every detail. The seafood was both delicious and reasonably priced. Great place... More
