This diner is almost famous in Jackson Heights. When you go there you feel like it's 1970. I would say it is an old style diner. The waiters have been there forever. I have lived in Jackson Heights for 10 years and the majority of the waiters and waitresses at the diner have never changed in this time, hence they... More

My husband and I love Indian food, and for years we had been anxious to try the Jackson Diner in Jackson Heights. We finally got to try it about a month ago, and were not terribly impressed. The food was just "okay" in our opinion, none of the rich flavors usually associated with the spices in Indian food. Two weeks... More

The Jackson Diner is something of a local institution. From the outside it looks questionable. Even inside there is nothing special other than the huge lunch buffet and the throng of neighborhood clientele. But the food, as much as you can eat, is excellent. Great people watching, too! The place is big and seems to attract a hungry crowd of... More

You already know the 'never replaced the name/sign' story BUT it's about the food & it's stellar !!! This is the neighborhood pioneer & it's ripple effect created many followers in food & fashion BUT if it's great Indian food, a must stop in, as you can't go wrong...it's arguably the best in this now Indian food neighborhood

The food has always been good. Whether you take out or eat in the food tastes the same which is great! I gave the restaurant a 4 because the prices have become a bit much considering this restaurant is in Queens and not Manhattan. Overall, the food is good.

Finally had the opportunity to try the lunch buffet here. Firstly they have only attained a B rating from New York inspection whereas some of their (several) 74th St competition are category A. Although I would not describe the plates as 'dirty' they are in a very well-lit corner by the window and the strong light shows them to be... More

I cannot wait to come back to this place! The restaurant was surprisingly roomy and not crowded for lunch ($10) on a Sunday. - Lunch Buffet - self serve - Drinks cost extra, I asked the server if the drinks were included, he said yes.... they obviously were not - Tables and floor are a little dirty but doesn't take... Jackson Diner is just okay. The food is okay. The mango lassis are okay. The service is okay. It is kind of expensive in my opinion.
